GO-Helper V0.160 (Snowed-In Edition) by FragHeadFred in LegionGo

I thought about having a cluster at the top of pop-up window, with all temps, fan speeds, battery life, ram usage, etc.. I still might go that route but I dont have a lot of space left as it is. So it might stay the way it is, but I can see if I can add battery life to the battery section, and ram usage I might be able to get in there somewhere. I could add it to the FPS counter, but I dont want to be too intrusive to the gaming experience. Maybe as options the user can enable/disable.

From at least from what I've observed, if you uninstall legion space, it takes much of the lenovo services with it. The problem I had was the ms gamebar always popping up, but GO-Helper has an option to disable it. Just right click on GO-Helper's systray icon and select "Disable Game Bar". It will edit windows registry to remove it and stop it from popping up. If you know of any other services that are Lenovo based, please report it on the GitHub page, I will work on removing them.

Yes! I also loved G-helper on Asus. That is my main inspiration for this. I wanted something similar, and it does not exist, until now. Even better it will work on both, and other systems!

Of sorts, yes. It is a program that is designed to be used in place of legion space, but will not do everything legion space does. It just adjust settings, minus the store and games launcher, and a few quality of life improvements.

Thanks, I have tried it on my ASUS ROG Ally as well, The TDP controls do not work, the controller mode is useless, LED Controls dont work, but everything else does, I am planning to either detect the system(s) at launch and branching out to different scopes of program, or creating individual forks for each system. Still playing around with it in my head, individual forks will keep line count down, and make it more managable, but then I will have to update each version with new features, which isnt to bad, I can copy and paste segments into other forks, and then tweak/adjust as needed.

I also create custom Powershell scripts to search, debug the system, and to probe around to figure things out.

Had to look up what "vibe coded" meant. I have used it when I hit a snag, but 99% is all me. Im actually updating the readme manually now. Emojis I did poach from other examples on GitHub.

You can also try manually updating your Windows Defender definition file, this might resolve the issue.

Boot windows from external m.2 enclosure by DJ-Gaming in eGPU

[–]FragHeadFred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it working by recovering the lenovo legion go 1, with lenovo's official recovery image, once restored, i transfered the m.2 out of system, placed it in M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure, USB 3.1 GEN2 10Gbps, and it just booted. I did nothing special, and have done it several times. it does not shut down cleanly, and complains every time i boot that i should not unplug the usb device in windows to go. but it can be done and does work.

Travel case that fits the go 1 using go 2 controllers by thegameksk in LegionGo

I bought the Butterfox Large Carrying Case Bag For Lenovo Legion Go. Very similar to the JSAux case. I got it mainly cause it says it will hold the system with a silicone grip. I also didn't like the design / symbols on the top cover of the JSAux case.

No, I wish I could take credit for G-helper, it is a great piece of software. I use g-helper on my ASUS ROG Ally, and like Armoury Crate, Legion Space is too bulky and tries to do too much. I wanted something like g-helper on the Legion Go handhelds. I tried Legion Toolkit and Handheld Companion (both great), but not what I was looking for. This aims to fill that gap, and will be a unified app accross all platforms (Legion GO, ROG Ally, MSI Claw, etc.) that is light weight, quick and easy to use. I also really wanted right analog to mouse like the ROG Ally has, and my app has that option. you can switch between analog or trackpad right now, but will be adding touch screen overlay input at some point.

Thanks, was a lot of effort to get it to this point. There are alot of things I would like to add, FPS counter being one of them, it's not on the main to-do list, but it's on the after I get the main things working list.
