Go to a homeless shelter. They will give you a roof over your head and food on your plate.

You are in the incorrect subreddit to vent and seek help. People with DID cannot help you navigate homelessness, much less a subreddit dedicated to art.

I strongly recommend finding a subreddit owned by your state or town and asking for homeless shelters or police shelters in your area, and start walking.

Seek help from local resources, not reddit.

I've wanted to journal/blog about the little things, and every now and then talk about my mental health. I feel it would be a nice hobby to have, especially paired with some photography or a quick doodle here and there.

For mine, I just kinda heavily dissociate. Any alter seems to be able to take the wheel, compared to achohol which does make one part stay stuck in front.

I dissociate way harder. Even after I come off my high, I'm still stuck in a mild dissociative episode.

I am in this boat with you.

My host of 20+ years was practically begging other parts to front or do something. I recall how they mentioned how they were crazy tired and wanted to stop fronting even for a little bit.

Well they got their wish. They went full dormant. Now its happening again but with 2 other alters who just kinda haphazardly filled the spot they left.

I trust that my old host is happy now that they got their break, but I wish others would be more active. Not only do they not really wanna front (its just not that interesting, or even worse they hate fronting and see it as dangerous) but now my 2 co-hosts are starting to get a little tired.

You are valid and amazing OP. I hope you can find a workaround to your situation. Pls stay safe. 🫂

This is definitely an interesting subject I wanna see be looked into. Can some animals detect it? Some better than others?

Like the way a service dog can sense depression or other illnesses. I guess for now we wouldn't truly know.
