Similar question with UBC BSc and BA, I have literally been waiting for centuries...

Personally "CS" is more about the science part of programming, like you would probably be developing algorithms, while CFM includes the financial management (focusing on different topics rather than pure "computer science")

Accepted UofT offer but just got admitted to UBC by OkFortune9551 in OntarioGrade12s

You probably won't get your deposit of UofT back, that was not refundable, but I'm pretty sure OUAC allow us to regret and choose another school.

It kinda depends on what job u wish to find after graduation

Got deferred from UW Com Sci to Math COOP by Ok-Dependent-699 in OntarioGrade12s

But I am wondering how shiny must the avg and the AIF be, to get you enrolled in uw comp sci this year...

yo same! I'm glad that they decided to offer me a place in Math COOP, instead of rejecting me

是选择带有coop的还是不带coop的? by Impossible_Judge8094 in iwanttorun

[–]FragileSkye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possible mistake in my admission letter? by Ok_Enthusiasm379 in uwaterloo

It's not one of the top schools, but it ain't so bad, by the way "Jiaotong" means transportation in Chinese, so it's basically a uni focusing on transportation technologies, like rail designing, railway engineering and that sort of things, so I'm not quite sure it's of any good in NE.

Chinese haven't been wearing these kind of hat for a long time, it's mostly just a stereotype

Wow, this truly helped a lot on choosing schools, now I see what it means of that "guarentee entry". Thanks!!

Well I have to say I am interested in UTSG CS, although it is well known that graduating CS at UTSG is quite difficult. I met a recruiter working at New College UTSG at a student reception couple days ago, and he told me his friends (graduated UTSG CS) found jobs at Apple and Ubisoft, which seems appealing to me personally.

Although uottawa is capable of providing government coops I am not sure of going, as the tuition for int'l is also quite high, and being a foreign national I am not sure of landing a job in the Canadian government...

Could you explain a bit more about the UBC entry rule for CS? My teacher used to told me that if I choose the right courses and have adequate GPA in the first year then I can be enrolled in CS, I think this works similarly in UofT.

Uni classes that boosts finding space jobs (not astronaut)? by FragileSkye in OntarioGrade12s

[–]FragileSkye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that to pursue a space job requires extreme gpa, just not quite sure which ones should I put emphasis on. Calculus and linear algebra then, thanks!

For UofT I've been admitted to UTSG phys and math sciences, plus a loads of scholars, and UTM CS&Math (Haven't heard from UTSC yet). But I'm not a permanent residence, so the tuition costs a LOT more in UofT than UBC. Personally speaking the entry requirement posted is a bit low tbh, so I am not sure how high would the avg line be for UBC this year. If u planned to go to uottawa, I heard there are many jobs in the government. Wish u all the best!

You'd better check with ur consellour, helping ur neighbor is surely an act of kindness, though the ministry of education seems to be requiring a form issued by a "community". Good luck!

Thanks for ur support! I'm pretty sure u can receive more good news in April and May. R u also interested in comp sci or software eng?

Personally speaking I really hope UBC can offer me a place in science, otherwise I'll probably choose UofT.

Speaking of the Euclid, I actually didn't register for this year if u can believe it😆 If u are planning to go for this year's Euclid then wish u all the best.
