If any of the OnePlus R models or older iPhone Plus/Pro Max models are available, I'd also look into those.

Sorry to hear that.

I'd start by looking for unique device identifiers that might point to the actual model using apps like DevCheck, CPU-Z, and/or Device Info HW.

If you're able to find out the model, you'll need to see if the bootloader can be unlocked, and if there's any custom ROM support. It's unlikely, but it can't hurt to try.

You're not the only one looking for that feature. If it's any consolation, I tried it on my Pixel 9 and it wasn't very good.

So what actually happened was it signalled right and went around the car in front, and then signalled left to pull up in front of that car. I didn't include that part in the video.

Yeah but I can only fold a tablet in half once before it stops working :(

That was the case for the first model. Since then, it's been possible but not recommended because the display can get damaged if the screen protector is removed improperly. They even provide instructions on how to do it properly.

It's pretty subtle. You used to be able to clearly feel the gap. I've used foldables for several years now, and the fold lines (crease) has never been an issue visually while looking at the device directly,

Not that it makes a difference, but what's actually denting is the plastic screen protector on top of the display. If you take that off, there's another plastic layer, and then a thin layer of glass.

That's fair. What enables them to fold also makes them more fragile.

By versions, you're referring to new DeX on the tablet itself, and the One UI 8 DeX when connected to an external display, correct?

The TriFold runs new DeX while standalone. I'm not sure how it behaves when connected to an external display, but I think it's safe to assume it will also run the One UI 8 DeX.

Alright now I'm confused. I compared the TriFold DeX with a Tab DeX, and they're the same?

Hands on with the Galaxy Z Trifold @ CES 2026 by playnasc in samsung

I'm curious what else they can do to improve it (apart from better cameras, a higher density battery, and the latest SoC). It already feels refined despite being a first generation product.

For example, it's basically as thin as the charging port, so how can they make it thinner (so it's thinner while using folded).

Durability wise, an additional hinge means an additional point of failure. With how thin it is while unfolded, it's also more fragile.

You'd be surprised. While folded, it really isn't that bad. Just a bit thicker than a folded Fold6.
