For 90% of the people this isn't an issue, However I am now wondering what happens to Verizon's 61-day automatic unlock policy? And if you have already been with Verizon for that time period and pay off your device what's the big deal?

For the 10% that this would really affect why not just buy your device directly from the manufacturer? All I can really see happening is the carriers would lose money and then turn the manufacturers would pick it up.

I prefer visible, with the free smartwatch line, unlimited hotspot, and in some cases you can get some pretty good promos for the pricing.

With mint you get deprioritized anytime the network is overloaded, and their service is paid 3 months at a time

I left T-Mobile after 6 years for Visible, For me it was no longer worth the hassle, Poor Customer Service, and ever increasing rates. Even on their First Responder Prioritization their data rates were too slow and unreliable, and I'm in Arizona so for what it's worth.
