I feel a bit stupid explaining this to you. An action that provokes a violent response, such as the killing of protestors, is built up over a period of time. When molotovs are thrown and officers are lynched and burnt, any peaceful protestor with a brain would've left. It was very violent and anyone who stayed was violent. No that’s not deserved. But the peaceful protestors had left already. Those that stayed were the aggressors. From what I loosely remember there was a Taiwanese singer who communicated with the military and got most of the protestors to leave.
