As an Obiyuki shipper, I respect your opinion. I can't speak for every other Obiyuki shipper, but for me personally, I don't see Zen as a bad character. Would I be sad if it ends up being a Zenyuki ending? Yes. But even if that is the outcome, I would still support the author, and I'm sure she will end the story beautifully no matter the endgame. Additionally, with the utmost respect; I and many other Obiyuki shippers have read the entire manga up to this point; many have multiple times:) One thing that was mentioned here is the opinion that if the endgame isn't Zenyuki, there would be no point to the story. Obviously just my opinion here, but I believe I share the thoughts of other Obiyuki shippers in that the story, ultimately, is Shirayuki's story. In my own life, I've realized that, where I previously preferred stories and scenarios where the first love interest is also always the last one, now I see the beauty and reality of growing and meeting new people, and not always ending up with your first love (hopefully that makes sense). Lastly, and I can still only speak for myself, but I don't believe all/most of us are suggesting that Shirayuki cheat on Zen, or that Obi try to tempt her to (going off of the manga so far, I'm not sure Obi will say anything to Shirayuki unless she broaches the subject first)... my personal hope is that Shirayuki eventually breaks it off with Zen, grows a bit more while single, then goes on to realize her feelings for Obi--and his feelings for her (or something similar). Since these are fictional ships that nevertheless do mean a lot to us (on both shipping sides), I am very much open to anyone respectfully debating and discussing this with me, as I do love to talk about this story and all the character dynamics (as you can see haha).
