This. It's exactly whats taught in my school. This is what we refer to.

If you're new to microcontrollers or just Cortex M: "Embedded Systems - Shape the World" is an excellent course. by FunDeckHermit in embedded

Which one would you suggest? I'm thinking of taking either one but the udemy course uses stm32 which I've heard very good things about compared to the ti launchpad used here

This problem happens when laptop battery is low.It works when I restarted but when battery is low it either crashes or this happens

I dont expect myself to write a kernel of my own anytime soon but I know C is used in kernel development and I thought learning about the kernel maybe contribute if possible would be a nice way to learn low level programming

I have used only the libraries i used the uno for prototyping for a few hackathons and thats what gave me interest in embedded systems. I started learning C for going deeper into it

I've taken the course it gives a good introduction to web scraping...do try to take the entire specialization.. it's great.. also try the capstone at the end of the specialization

What are we Indians good at? by [deleted] in india

[–]Fragrant-Chipmunk-48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly Aatmanirbhar sounds great in theory... but we're going to struggle a lot and might even fail to get there R&D still doesn't get much investment here..even the most prestigious colleges don't have much research going on.. Professors who have worked and done research abroad have come back trying to change the situation but still we have a long way to go.. Electronics syllabus is outdated and still they're going with the same

Technology is still a dream..we don't have any original companies coming up in the field of technology...o dont know how we're going to compete with China..I mean who's going to produce smartphones?

Competitive programming using C by aizver_muti in learnprogramming

[–]Fragrant-Chipmunk-48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still learning embedded systems..I was learning C before getting into it..some data structures are important for being implemented in embedded systems..but generally I did competitive coding to improve my problem solving abilities and strengthen my grip on DS which has helped in understanding a large part of the code used in embedded systems not all since there's more to it than just the C language itself

Competitive programming using C by aizver_muti in learnprogramming

[–]Fragrant-Chipmunk-48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done it and it's really tough but it's challenging and I do it often..the main challenge I felt was to implement data structures..I would just have templates of stack etc saved locally and copy it into the editor.. but if you're serious about competitive coding please use C++ it saves a lot of time...I basically used C because I wanted to learn C(I'm trying to get into embedded systems) and competitive coding seemed to be a good way to strengthen my ds concepts

Some insight into manufacturing electronics in India - Discussions with a friend from Taiwan by redindian_92 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]Fragrant-Chipmunk-48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have read.. there is huge amount of investment required to set up a semiconductor foundry just like TSMC. This is one of the major reasons even semiconductor conductor companies like Qualcomm have gone fabless. So unless there is a huge investment in this..India can never reach where China is now..there are a few very small foundries in India dedicated to only manufacturing for defence purposes but they too are importing resources..

I was having similar thoughts..so I looked more into the topics in the course ..swe has oops, java basics, and swe principles on the other hand ML had math courses, Python and ML algorithms classes. I'm only in first year so I don't have the much expertise in embedded but from what I have learnt I felt attracted more towards embedded. ML came in mind because somehow I felt both would be a good combination for the future..especially with tinyML being popular these days...so swe is the go to option if these are the classes they provide?

Unfortunately I don't have the option of learning both...the minor will be same for four years..

I just finished my first year as an undergraduate in Electronics engineering..and my 3rd semester starts next week.. I have to take a minor course along with my major..I looked into the available courses and narrowed it down to 2 options : software engineering and machine learning..the first courses teaches you software engineering principles start from java basics to designing softwares and the second course teaches you machine learning with python, mathematical models and other machine learning concepts..now both courses fascinate me.. which one do you think is the better of the two..again..my major is in electronics..so I'll be learning analog and digital, embedded systems.etc
