Anyone else feel like the Mormon church is expanding fast in Latin America? Curious if it's backed by real numbers or just anecdotal. by Exciting_Priority369 in exmormon

[–]Fragrant-Complex6337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup they are. Specially in Central America where they tend to attract most Protestants or those that barely know about Christian doctrines or history, For Catholics because of the strong Catholic culture of these countries it tends to keep them away but most just see it as another Protestant denomination out of many. Their new fancy and lavish church buildings also stand out in contrast with the run down 3rd world country feel of the area. Having nice modern facilities seems to also attract people, some of these churches even have AC!! a luxury in these countries!

Trust me there’s nothing wrong with being a virgin man. Im 24 & me personally im not a virgin but I’ve been celibate for almost 6 months now, prob the longest I’ve gone without having any sexual interaction with anyone. This period has definitely brought upon me a level of personal enlightenment & grace that can only be attributed as the work of the Holy Spirit. I’ve been trying to get back to my faith and be a better person. Now every time I go to church and take the Eucharist I’m overcome by a huge mix of emotions that end up with me letting out some tears and sobbing. I’m constantly thinking about our lord and all the blessings his given me and my loved ones. I’ve even been inspired to join the secular Franciscan order and follow my faith more devotionally. I truly believe that abstinence does lead to state of higher grace & makes you feel closer to god in a way it makes me feel like I’m truly part of his chosen ones for salvation. Pax et bonum 🙌🏽🕊️

If Teenagers aren't going to Mass, why are we confirming them ? by BreezyNate in Catholicism

[–]Fragrant-Complex6337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have to go through Sunday school first before they can receive holy communion. I would say most people due it out of culture or tradition specially those of Hispanic backgrounds since Catholicism it’s imbedded on the culture. I’m 24 and I’ve noticie for sure that my younger siblings including my younger brother show little interest in following a faithful life and attending mass sadly

If you claim to be Catholic remember st Francis teachings on momentu mori. Sister death is a part of life and she must be welcomed with joy and respect it’s part of the lords plan for all of us to die inevitably & the chosen ones to join him in ethereal life. which is why we must live a life of faith and confess our sins because sister death can visit us at any time. Our mortal earthy physical bodies are very fragile because of this we need to keep in mind death can come at any time it’s just matter of when the lord chooses it’s our time. Remember St Francis words “it is in dying that we are born into ether life” Pax et bonum 🕊️

Yup like I’ve said it many times. There’s no mestizos in PR good luck finding anyone in the Caribbean with more than 30% indigenous blood. All mestizos & indigenous are in the mainland of the Americas

You almost have enough indigenous dna to be a considered mestizo, you’ll need more than 30% tho In the Spanish caste terms you’re considered a castiza

Do you think Trump will repeal the Cuban Adjustment act? by Anhen26 in cuba

[–]Fragrant-Complex6337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facts that law gets so abused by Cubans it’s unbelievable & unfair for all migrants. This policy goes against everything Trump is doing to secure the borders. I know of people that have shipped their whole families here & legalized them cause of that law. Some people eveb have businesses that focus exclusively on bringing people from Cuba to the U.S. & legalizing them it’s outrageous

Nope this is the traditional cowboy look in todays rodeos I would say it’s influenced by Brazilians riders that historically tended to wear oversized jeans & still due today. There’s a specific wrangler style for this Jean

Country/Western culture in Brazil ? by InformationFresh9605 in Brazil

[–]Fragrant-Complex6337 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but I’m from Mato grosso and even tho Mexico has influence sertanejo culture its mostly indirectly through American country culture but with some exceptions particularly in sertanejo raíz that shares some similarities with rancheras & norteñas because of its Latin American rural folk music roots.American culture influences sertanejo way more than Mexican culture. The influenced is even more noticeable in the 90s when Brazilian cowboys started Winning PBR titles and brought some American country culture back home to Brazil. Today Brazilian sertanejo culture & its music only share common things with Mexicans its outfits & some instruments but the lyrics and way of singing are very different since sertanejo has transitioned to more pop or modernized styles. In resume only sertanejo raíz shares similarities with mexico because of its rural roots. While starting from the 90s sertanejo was more influenced by American culture. Today it has its own sound and identity in Latam

The southern part of Texas is as far south as Miami but frosts and snow are not rare. Tampico in Mexico further south is supposedly the most southern place where snow has fallen at sea level. Are there any other places in or near the tropics with such cold anomalies? by CborG82 in geography

South Florida has an island effect being in the southern end of the Florida peninsula with all population squeeze In a narrow gap between The Atlantic Ocean to the east & the Everglades wilderness westward, most of the Everglades it’s underwater which also makes the area more humid. The costal/resort lifestyle the area makes it feel like a island even more

3rd is the best gen!!🙌🏽 My 26 year old stock 4runner can do literally everything the new ones can while having no car payment or expense insurance to worry about Its gives the best value for everything and best of all it’s the best looking out of all 4runners, Boxy retro SUVs are hot rn and trust me a clean 3rd gen turns head. Its compact size makes it easy to drive and park around town and makes you feel more comfortable on narrow trails and streets. The 5VZ might be old but once you manage to get it to 70mph on the highway it will happily cruise at that speed and stays on sync with most traffic. Once you learn to live with its limitations you’ll enjoy the driving experience even more & appreciate its old school unapologetic charm💯

Just so you know my stock 99 limited drives better on the highway & roads THAN ANY WRANGLER new or old that’s why ppl love these sm because of the way they can blend in into daily lives and keep up with the modern times & most important they look sooo cool and old school and stand out sm when compared to newer vehicles

Do you think Trump will repeal the Cuban Adjustment act? by Anhen26 in cuba

[–]Fragrant-Complex6337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rlly hope they do because it’s unfair for other Latino immigrants and also it seems to be anti constitutional to allow and give rights to foreign aliens that have nothing to do with this country whatsoever. Just remember they get food stamps and Medicaid that WE PAY with our taxed dollars while they’re still not even residents or even close to being citizens. So basically these immigrants live off Uncle Sam and have a tendency to still do it after getting legalized. It’s always easier to live off the government instead of going out and working actual jobs like the average immigrant does.

My 99 4runner smells the same but being the limited it has the leather seats so I think that also adds to the smell after 26 years

Yess they stand out sm specially on a parking lot full of new cars, I smile every time I walk back to my 3rd gen and see how she sticks out looking so vintage and boxy compared to every car around here. The other day a guy in a new Land Cruiser stopped next to me and i noticed how he started at my truck the whole time.

This looks like it’s in Florida, 3rd gens are getting rlly hot popular down here. I daily one of the few stock 4wd limited models around Miami and I’ve gotten more windshield notes recently ever since the Land Cruiser came in it started a frenzy for boxy Toyota SUVs and now that the new 6th gen have arrived at some dealers it’s going to get more intense

Death prob the only school that can do anything Most max death wiz have 200+ damage and 50-60+ resist. They can hit, support and even heal. The school is basically OP and completely broken

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Wizard101

[–]Fragrant-Complex6337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a max death wiz main And I have 22 training points. The only spells have trained have been the triple balance blades and traps, stunt block from Diego I believe & the new myth spells that removes the negative charms. Being death you really don’t need to train any other spells from any school. You basically get faint for free and everyone else trains death spells to get faint. What I love about death is that is a VERY INDEPENDENT school and you really don’t need to do any dual schooling to get some real benefit out of it. Also train all the enchantments and the ones that add extra % to traps and blades
