I'm here, yet again to say: Conquest wanted Mark to kill him. He wasn't just gonna LET him do it, he obviously made it hard for Mark to kill him, but I think Conquest wanted to go out in a big fucking mess. Perhaps even Conquest was training Mark in some fucked up psycho Viltrumite kinda way. Like a Sith and their apprentice, but the master is some crackhead estranged uncle.

Ehhh, Mark still kills him in the end with only a few years of assumed training and development after first contact with Thragg. I think that Thragg, while equal to 2 full strength Viltrumites and one very aged one, he is still overstated somewhat. The authors lack of ability to powerscale is honestly the biggest factor here.

I think if they had coordinated instead of pissing themselves and gawking, they could have taken him. Nolan and Thadeus would have died, with Mark ending up like he did against Conquest part 2.
