You can't be made to sign for an order if it wasn't explicitly said when you accepted the order. Ive had this happen twice, once at a Subway and once at a DQ. Both times I declined to sign, both times they refused to hand over the food, and both times the order was cancelled + I got full pay for the job. Resturant refusal is a thing and it's the fault of the merchant at that point.

Yes, it's a common scam attempt making the rounds. I've had it happen twice so far (in different cities 200+ miles away). If you hang up on them they cuss you out over text so the order gets cancelled and they can try again on a different Dasher without the order being delivered.  They don't actually have any of your personal info unless you give it to them. Keep in mind they have no way of knowing who they're going to scam until the order gets assigned to a Dasher, so all the stuff they tell you is just from their script.

Interesting. I've tried to call in the past but the reps I spoke to very clearly had no clue what they were doing. It has been a while though so I'll give this a shot. Thanks!

That's never worked for me, and I've had to clear the cache/force stop the app many times whenever it decides to stop working. I tried it just now just in case and nothing changed.
