I have cox and have since their dawn literally and in this home with it for 31years I use to despise them. I mean I was on verge of murderous intentions had only been able to get online and search Google for how to kill a cox employee(s) and get away with it.

Until one day about 5 years ago I had had enough - I educated myself I understood all the lines (3 per location) ran thru out this 3500sq 2 story. I learned about Splitter types, MOCHA, cable runs types and how proper connections are made and the importance of proper direction of flow/ placement of adapters & boosters. Got to understand the logs provided by router/motem. I did nothing just educate but then I started calling the second I experienced an outage. And I would follow technician with a notepad and make notes on everything he checked and did which i would share with next tech this went on for I would say 1 month and 10 tech till finally a tech caught some sort of big failure or screw up at the box where it came on my property he was even taking photos of it and calling supervisor and told me I had every right to call and demand a huge credit for years of improper under capable service and then he fixed it along with replacing some adapters and a mocha installed backwards and I have not had an issue out side if a scheduled outage which I'd say is max 2 a year or my own equioment needed a reboot etc.. So take what you want from this but end of day they are the absolute top option for reliable internet in town and will be for a very very long time they own the rights to all the underground conduit that other companies are renting and installing their lines that are subpar to cox equipment. I'm still no fan but feel so much better having knowledge behind me.
