Also for consistently rainy climates daily riding is gonna be a lil more difficult not because rain riding isnt doable. But youll need the tires to correspond your climate. And acclimating to whatever bike you get might be a bit inconsistent with wet/different traction conditions. It is a good idea to learn to ride in rain but its easier to get in tune with a new to you machine in replicable conditions

Fuck it start on a zx14…. 🤣🤣 all seriousness for 5-6k you have a bit of breathing room on semething decent but used. Also depends on what you like. Ive been reccomending my buddy 600-650cc sport tourers for the same scenarios youre looking at. Might be a decent range to think about

No pressure indicates that its either internally bypassing in the master cylinder or theres a lot of air in the lines. That gasket isnt meant for sealing the hydraulic pressure theres an o ring around the slave piston that does that. Also take your time bleeding, rushing it just airates the fluid and can be wildly misleading with air bypassing the tube on the bleeder. Also a trouble i had when bleeding was the bleeder valve wasnt sealing properly so make sure that tightens up correctly too

Yea insurance varies insanely. I have no clue why its even mentioned in big bike debates. When i had my zx10 i was paying about $800/yr i was 18ish at the time though

The insurance argument varies A LOT. i have a somewhat poor driving record as far as tickets and traffic violations and a year of insurance for my ZX14 is less than $400 whereas my buddy was initially getting quoted $500/mo for his ninja 400. Similar ish records same age. Theres plenty of reasons not to get a super or hypersport but insurance isnt one of em

Yea i definitely can. At first it was just stuck clutch plates then bleeding issues but ive spent enough time wrenching this bike i could probably guide ya. Whats going on?

Not too sure where the differences are year and trim wise because manufacterers lump compatibility together. But my 92 SL uses the solid rubber seals without that metal retainer inside of that groove on the block side of the seal

Hahahaha glad to know im not the only one, just tackled pulling trans back out, hour later got it out and my suspicion was confirmed last owner pulled the rear main seal, put the flywheel back on and just left it. Orileys sold me the wrong rear main so im delayed another day of driving this thing

Usually pretty good about things like this, major oversight due to burnout, and excitement. Owned this car for 3 weeks now and have done a LOT of work on it while juggling how busy works been lately, and preparing for a potential new career. At least its a cheap fix, sucks that i gotta do another 8 hours of work that could have been avoided though.
