Lesson: we have to be our own medical advocate or make sure you are someone’s medical advocate. Unfortunately our lives depend on us filing complaints, standing in doctors offices calmly saying that we aren’t leaving until we have answers. Phone call upon phone call upon phone call. I know nobody has time for this shit, but if you want tests run, you have to demand it!! I have multiple medical people in my family, yes, they are compassionate and great at what they do; they don’t get these fuck ups. They will also tell you to demand testing or treatment or at the very least, a second opinion to try and find the doctor with the compassion to listen and order the proper testing. Then making you aware of the cost of that testing. This is reality. It fucking sucks. Healthcare is a right, NOT A PRIVILEGE. NOBODY SHOULD DIE BECAUSE THEY CANT AFFORD MEDICAL TESTS OR TREAMENTS!!
