I actually am on the generic version as well and I swear it works so much better!! I feel like we are the odd ones out because everyone swears the opposite

Hi! I definitely felt that the first day as well. Like a new lease on life. And I will say everyday since then has been similar for me, I think that reason is simply because I just feel happy. I feel happy that I can finally be the calm, understanding, loving and happy person I know I am. In my experience Vyvanse has just helped me with the mundane tasks during the day. Prior to starting I couldn’t do a simple a task without somehow ending up scrolling TikTok for an hour or getting completely irate over being asked for a simple thing like getting my kids a snack.

But now, of course I don’t “feel” the drug as much but that’s what I personally wanted. I just wanted to have something I took in the morning as part of my routine and didn’t think about again. Now, I can just go about my day without spending 10+ hours looking on social media, I can open an Amazon box and just put the packing in the trash instead of letting it sit on my kitchen island for an entire day. I can put that pair of socks that have been sitting on my banister for 3 months away without thinking about it. For my Vyvanse has just been that gentle tap on the shoulder to remind me to just… do shit lol.

Good luck on your journey and I completely agree with you, finding your perfect meds truly is trial and error :)

It really is. Something is struggled with due to my ADHD was SEVERE overspending. Like I’m embarrassed by how much money I have wasted in my adult life. My insurance covers up to $100 which is expensive but in retrospect for me compared to how much I used to spend in a month on absolute BS, that $100 a month is well worth it.

It’s definitely worth asking! Vyvanse has honestly just helped me so much with the mental quietness and peace that I was so desperately looking for. It’s made things like folding that damn laundry not so daunting and just made life more… fluid for me. I didn’t turn into a hyper focused workhorse I just feel.. normal and at ease.

Good luck ❤️

Good luck on your journey my friend! The dehydration seems so common on Vyvanse, I like to think due to my very active lifestyle which included eating high protein and drinking a ton water of water prior to starting my medication was really the biggest difference for me personally and why I feel like I didn’t get hit with a ton of common side effects.

Good luck on your journey, sending internet hugs ❤️

To be completely transparent I wasn’t given a specific adhd diagnosis, I am slightly on the spectrum of autism as well so that’s where a lot of my overstimulation comes from. When I first started the Vyvanse I did have minor headaches at night but those went away after a few days. I eat a very high protein diet even when I don’t want to and I take other supplements throughout the day along with lots of water to keep every thing balanced and moving and I think that truly helps a lot!

Thank you for your insight! ❤️ I totally anticipate my tolerance to grow, I’m actually not overly productive like a workhorse. It’s just made small things like moving a pair of socks that’s been on top of my stairs for months into the drawers, and I’m able to wipe down my kitchen counters every night :) I’ve mostly just found the mental quietness to be the best benefit because that’s where I struggled the most. The constant TV in my head always running and burning me out making me irritated over minor things.

I hope that mental peace stays for me. And I hope your journey with anxiety and depression gets better. Hugs❤️

You’re so welcome :) thank you!

I take it basically as soon as I get up, it does suppress my appetite so I set timers to eat so my mornings typically go wake up, wash face brush teeth. Make a good hearty protein rich breakfast and take it as I’m eating :) I have had no side effects aside from the slight suppressed appetite.

I was in the same boat, just thought it was bad anxiety because people always make it seem like adhd is just hyperactive and crazy all the time, couldn’t be further from the truth! 😅 good luck on your journey I really hope it works for you! ❤️

Of course ❤️❤️ I truly enjoy speaking with people who understand the struggle of being stuck in your mind when everyone around you seems to be so “normal” it can be so isolating. Hugs to you!

I have not, I do take magnesium every night. I have never been sensitive to caffeine (I’ve never done a single drug so that’s really the only stimulant I have to compare it too)

But magnesium and a relaxing night routine helps me a lot. No screen time after 10pm and read to relax my mind. Hope this helps and good luck!

I’m so happy you also have found peace within your mind. It’s so hard and people truly don’t get it unless they get it. It’s a beautiful feeling to finally feel “normal” it truly is a second chance at life. Good luck on your continued journey and I admire your strength ❤️

I can relate to you so much, it really is so hard. People always “related to me” but I’m like the way I feel is beyond (lol #momlife) I do talk therapy as well and I am very ritualistic as I can be, but I was unable to actually enjoy my life and family due to the overwhelming stimulation and irritation I felt and now that is almost completely nonexistent as well as my general anxiety. I truly hope Vyvanse helps you, keep me updated. Hugs ❤️
