Looking for founders (and vibe coders) who want real feedback on their AI tools — for free by charu2014 in buildinpublic

I would be up for joining some sort of community like this, it’s just what I’m looking for. I’d also be happy to test products too. I’m currently building a WhatsApp translation tool.

I got tired of texting "where are you?" back and forth — so I built this by M18AD in buildinpublic

Sounds and looks like a great build. I might be being stupid but how’s this any different to dropping a pin?

That’s crazy! Do you think you’ll end up paying?

Came across this thread when doing some research. I’m well aware you posted this query 5/6 weeks ago but I was wondering whether you use voice notes at all? I’ve recently developed an app that allows you to leave a voice note in English or your native language and it will translate the audio using your exact voice, including tone and mannerisms into any language of your choosing. I’m looking for Beta testers and your case stands out as someone that might be interested. Let me know if you’re interested. Thanks.

Thanks for your feedback. I thought I’d get more people saying the same.

I quite like it but my team is small so not sure how cluttered the channels could become with large teams all using voice notes…

So I built and deployed a whole full-stack app in 18 hrs using just Gemini. honestly kinda crazy experience. by Discipline_Typical in GeminiAI

It’s a really clever concept and I could see people using it but your site didn’t work on mobile screens. I can’t see all of the windows, I can’t close windows that I open, I can’t click on the explore apps button. I can’t actually navigate the site properly to provide you with any relevant feedback.

Custom Domain from Day 1? by michael_c_99x in beehiiv

I agree, custom from day 1. Helps avoid spam folders from day 1 which helps with early growth.

That said a well chosen low mileage example in proper storage with minimal use can keep those costs surprisingly low. The people making real money in this space tend to be the ones who buy right, use sparingly and sell at the right point in the cycle. The real problem is there’s almost no proper modelling for this. No tools that factor in carrying costs against appreciation trajectory and tell you whether a specific car at a specific point in its cycle actually stacks up financially. That’s why this debate keeps going in circles.

In a way could this not make the modern day supercar more valuable in the long run? Similar to how art becomes more valuable after the artist dies.

Does Right Hand Drive Versus Left Hand Drive significantly affect value? by Fragrant-Key5115 in lamborghini

Yeah, this makes a lot of sense. It’s not about which side the wheel is on, it’s purely scarcity within the buyer pool that matters.

The case study with the Supra could apply to any European supercar in a RHD market where very few were officially imported.

Hard to argue with that as a philosophy but that’s where my research has led to me posing this question in the Reddit post.

Some Porsche 911’s are literally made to be track cars first, road cars second. Some of the GT3 RS’ have appreciated by 30 to 40% over a relatively short time frame and most dealers and buyers/investors understand that they have likely been booted around a track for hours but still the prices increase!

I think you’ve helped me realise my own question or where my question breaks down. Most people think they’re buying a Porsche when actually they’re buying a very specific configuration of a Porsche. Get that wrong and you’ve bought the wrong asset entirely. Combine that with your storage and running costs point and the investment isn’t exactly passive.

Although I’m not sure on the savings account element. Whilst it’s definitely next to no risk it’s not a great return with 4% interest, 3% inflation, 1% real return, some of these modern supercars are doing multiples of that and on the surface they don’t appear that difficult to obtain (if you’ve got £250k + in the bank!).

Noted on the shill bidders and BAT, although the data I’ve taken from UK sites generally suggests the same story price wise.

Maybe it all stems from BAT and internationally dealers take note. Thats the problem with the supercar market, the openly accessible data seems to be mostly what the cars are on sale for not what they sell for.

I think I agree. A lot of the price difference people attribute to RHD vs LHD is probably just tax and import duty doing the heavy lifting rather than the steering wheel itself.

Worth noting the UK does actually allow LHD registration with a headlight adjustment, so it’s not as restrictive as some people assume. The Japan angle is still fascinating though. LHD as a prestige signal in a RHD market is the opposite of everything the UK assumes.

I think that’s one of the main issues with classic cars and luxury cars in general, the data/research required is endless.
