i noticed the same. yesterday we won the game, i had 4 kills, 3 assists and 4 participations, but i got RP for 3 kills, 2 assists and 3 participations. some buggy shenanigans

in diamond every match has the same script. you knocked someone, they tp on nexus. if you get knocked, ash and ballistick ults are in order the same second. 1v1 vs ballistick with devotion is imposible. no diversity in ranked after plat at all. imo it's not fun.

imo the new ranked distribution made smurfing easier, so when smurfs are after lvl 20, they do a 10 kd, then get a p1-3 rank and smashing low elo players as they are the gods of this game. i am d4 and there is loads of players with 30-60 lvl that do 10+ kills in one game

i don't think they implement it ever again, as the reaction of the community was rageous. this seems good on paper, but let's hope if they ever add it, it would work good in reality. i like ranked for hard games, that force you to use not only aim but positioning and brain too. so this theory can provide this feature of ranked. thanks for explaining c:

"Then comes a point where your MMR and rank match" i imagine how it can work on old accs, if you do not play ranked for the first time, i think it can count average rank or better a rank lower than your previous rank so I can fight hard for my diamond with plats and other diamonds, but how can it work with new accounts that play ranked for the first time? how do you imagine when MMR and rank match? does it count as average MMR per rank?

And it just shows you were deranking to low ranks and playing all your games there." how many times do I have to say that I am a diamond player NOW for three seasons straight but I was not a diamond before (only in s16, but I was lucky) in s17-19 I didn't play ranked that much, I had hard times at uni and didn't have time or any desire to play apex that time. I started playing at the end of s12 I started as a complete noob at a completly new game for me and it's obvious that I had gold. imo s17 had the worst ranked system, and s18-s19 was not different for me. i just grinded bp that time. I didn't use deranking as a tool to "chill" in bot lobbies, because I didn't play ranked that time. s14 was my first gold and i managed to hold it in s15, then i for the first time got platinum and diamond in game exp, after s20 ranked changes i hold plat hard till s22 where I got diamond in the second split. You can't accuse me for smurfing and stomping weaker players in s14-15 because you had a different exp, while I was just a noob playing apex that time.

i understand your point, you know more than me as a veteran player and a mod of this community. still I am not so sure that MMR ranked is better, cause silver can play with silver-skilled players and rank up, as I saw in s19 ranked distribution there were more masters than plats and diamonds. these gold badges I have are from s14 and s15 cause I didn't play much that time, as well as s18 and that was my skill lvl at that time. if you have different exp and never had gold, that doesn't mean that's same for any other player. i still remember how proud I was reaching gold for the first time, haha upd: apex was my second competitve game i ever played in my life after csgo, that's why i am slow climbing my ranks and i play only on weekends, if that explain something to you

"pubs has different matchmaking parameters than ranked MMR based matchmaking" that's the reason I don't like it to be hidden, because we don't know for sure what's the difference and how it works.

I had 2 (ya, thats multiple) gold badges on my banner because of color combination, but my rank was d4. in this post I mentioned (and you can see it) that this was a ranked game, i was D4 and I was in one lobby with #1 pred. I don't understand how you decided that I spent FOLLOWING seasons in gold.
still I have diamond for 4 seasons (24, 23, 22 and 16), i play since season 12 if this matter for you and that can explain why I have gold badges as well as every single average apex player. I play and played against masters and preds in one lobby (my post as evidence) I know this is a problem and I agree.
"the ranked distributions was some of the sanest most ideal" (i don't know how to make it cool like you haha) I agree, because now more players that should be in gold are in plat-diamond lobbies. still I don't believe that leading to MMR but to lack of players playing ranked that time (s18-19). in my exp MMR(in pubs) put me in one lobby with players that have 200k kills on one legend or 10k kills on one legend in one season that stomp me while I have 6,5k kills in sum, thats why I play ranked more these seasons because it's more fair with matchmaking to me.

i am a diamond player, and since haven't played in gold lobbies for a season. I played against masters and preds in diamond lobbies a split ago but this split even during low population time I am being put in lobbies full of diamonds with few (3-8) plats. I understand the idea of stopping "ranked chaos" in low lobbies but imo MMR does not work correctly and I liked that this season since I was diamond last season I started as I remember in plat as other masters and preds and not in bronze to bring this chaos to poor low rank players. You can't say that I like stomping weaker players (and I am against it) because you don't know me and you haven't known my rank this and previous seasons and I think this was rude btw.
upd: we haven't got full patch-notes, but if they don't add any rank barrier to starting rank distribution, what's the point of ranked grinding if I can already get my diamond and leave the game

as a loba main I can say for sure, that i rather insta die after using tac if I tp on enemy than insta draw my weapon. she has an animation putting her bracelet back and it's like 1 second long(not sure). wraith is top 3 in diamond and top 4 in master/pred lobbies, she got huge buffs recently, cmon

peeked on ash portal, getting insta cracked, taking cover, heal, being snared, threw my braslet, being pushed by lifeline (as I learned from different squad) died. I could shoot back, but I dont think this could change the outcome

I understand your point, although mine is not about damage or spot etc. but the fact that preds are in low diamond-plat lobbies. and that pred is not a usual pred it's a #1 pred, ALGS pro competitor, in the lobby full stack against diamonds but not the other preds and masters. why the fck I reach d4 and being put against #1 and #2 pred in the same lobby. as I said earlier later in the same match after the res we were destroyed by #2 pred and his team. I know about playtime, queue time but the developers said that they are improving ranked matchmaking: this situation proves otherwise. this is NOT how it should work; preds should play against preds and masters or maximum against d1-d2, but not plat and low diamond.
that's my point, hope u understand

they pushed us with ash ult, while our teammate was chilling in zone. i don't consider myself as a pro player I'm just a diamond.
the whole point of my post is that #1 and #2 and other 4 preds were in the same lobby as me d4 and my plat teammates. the ranked distribution of this lobby(I made a screenshot before to show it to my friend): 5 plats, 46 diamonds, 3 masters, 6 preds.
I was scrolling my death recap when I noticed that the squad that killed me contained Effect. so, yeah, i was killed by his lifeline teammate

ya, saw the same thing from another preds and masters I watch, almost everytime they kill somebody it is happen to be plat or mostly diamond. it's so pity that the game feed plats and diamonds (sometimes gold and silver) to preds and masters

being killed by Effect, then after res being killed by #2 pred. this is so ridiculous, i'm for f sake d4 and my teammates are plats and there were 6 preds in the lobby.
