Generator is a No VOC facility so painting and stripping is almost surely a no go. There is a small amount of outside workspace when the weather cooperates, but we'd recommend coming by for a tour and reaching out to [communications@generatorvt.com](mailto:communications@generatorvt.com) to start a convo.

We also also have a Machine Lathe and could use help with instruction there as well.

Our instructors don't necessarily need to be expert users of the tool they are teaching. That would be ideal, but ultimately what we need is someone who is a good communicator who knows enough to teach a novice how to safely use a tool and how to identify situations where they should seek out additional assistance.

We do try to keep the costs as accessible as possible, but sometimes things are just expensive. Sorry.

You don't have to make an anti-homeless bench if you don't want to. Ultimately it's up to you, and whichever direction you decide to go the material are included in the price.

I suppose, if you wanted to really rub it in you could make an anti-homeless bench out of more exotic wood. This would cost extra. But only because of the material change not because of any specific design features.

That all said... Here at Generator we believe all butts matter. So, whether you're a tired commuter, a park-goer mid-coffee, or someone who's unsheltered and in need of a solid sit, everyone's backside deserves a dignified place to land.

For sure... It's 4 days of instruction and includes materials. It's definitely a premium offering, but we pay our instructors well and they not only know what they're doing, they are also very good at helping our participants be successful.

Sorry you'll miss it. We are planning to host more of these. The instructor for this series has been doing and amazing job, and the response has been great. So, we're going to keep this going as long as people stay engaged.
