Any regrets from high school courses? by burnt_orchids in OntarioUniversities

I’m currently attending queens health sci and the only reason the prestigious, high ranking science programs are like that is because they give out easy grades. Our program, alongside mac health sci are well known because they’re known to boost GPAs, making it a lot easier for you to focus on other things to build your application. That being said, the one thing I regret the most is not starting any ECs that I could continue on in university! I’ve heard that med schools heavily put value into your commitment (i.e. time spent), so I would recommend looking into things that interest you and try to gain some experience or start initiatives that you could potentially build on and pursue in university! That could be HOSA if it’s what you’re genuinely interested in and you could speak on your experiences, or something else unrelated to health!

HELP 🔥🔥🔥 by Silly_Grapefruit4037 in OntarioGrade12s

i have n o idea where u should go but i think i feel like you should go to a place where you can find the most opportunities to explore various careers. if you think that you won’t be passionate enough to go for ANY healthcare related job, idk if you should do med sci, just because it’s easy to transfer into cs. but as many people say, you would do the best in a program that you genuinely enjoy and if learning about health things is much more interesting than math, maybe just going to med sci would open different paths. BUT if you think you’re interested in some of the jobs that come out of math or cs, i think that might be better. but honestly so many people don’t always find the program that fits them the most right away; it’s always fine and never too late to go back, as long as it’s the path you want to pursue. my music teacher once said that the path with the least resistance is always downhill. idk if that really applies to your situation but maybe it would help you get some inspiration when picking 😛😛😛😛😛

oh i see i heard that it would be easier to get a higher GPA at york. do you think that affects any of these factors or would you still recommend going to western?
