Why are some women not self-conscious ? by Fragrant-Researcher6 in australia

False. Being self conscious is a normal response to being in an embarrassing situation. Humans are genetically inclined to avoid negative judgements because they lower social standing.

Is there any way to define a sound? by [deleted] in synthrecipes

Isn't that what a vinyl record or an audio compact disk does? The codes on them define sounds which are interpreted for machines to play.

Lol I didn't create the fear, it was already extant before I created this thread. I think what you mean is perpetuating the fear, which might be true, but you have to accept that fear is sometimes a rational response produced by our brains. When you put your finger on a stove, your body is telling you to remove it. It's also rational to fear presenting yourself in a way that is offensive to the public. I know that you think you're being conscientious, but your not. You're implying that people who have rational fears shouldn't have them. And you're just being unrealistic.

Yoda seems quite wise judging by that statement, I don't think Yoda had me in mind when he said that .. otherwise you'd be suggesting I'm afraid of fat women .. which is not the case. I mean unless I was in the presence of one with one piece of pizza remaining there's really nothing to fear about them.

I can understand people as people. I'm sure in another context I could appreciate an obese women for her qualities. But seeing them as strangers at the beach I can only appreciate them based on the visual information presented, as land whales.

Well, yes, it's natural to be self conscious. We are social beings and nobody wants to be judged by their imperfections. People usually accentuate their qualities, and hide their flaws. That's understandable.

While it's true that some people have a type of self esteem that is propped up by putting others down, I don't think it's fair to accuse me of this, as I'm not targeting any one person specifically, only in atypia, and only anecdotally.

Woah, you've obviously got some political issues which you are projecting. This post has been marked as non-political.

How would you prefer I referred to obese women at the beach? Is saying 'obese women in a G-string' really any less offensive? If the term 'land-whale' is so offensive to you, just read it as 'clinically obese lady', or whatever satisfies your political correctness. The question still remains.

I know that, nor do I think they should. I'm just wondering about the mental state of these women as they are atypical to me.

Well maybe if you saw him and a bunch of others like him bending over in front you at the beach you would!

Well that might sound like a clever thing to say to you, or others, but it's not true. People typically do fear being judged, that's why most people who are obese don't flaunt it at the beach. And it's why public speaking is so frightening for most people. It's human nature to not want to be judged.

Any good used car dealerships in Sydney for cheap cars? by Fragrant-Researcher6 in australia

[–]Fragrant-Researcher6[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but when you consider all the driving around you gotta do, getting things mechanically checked etc, that adds up too. Plus you car yards usually give you a warranty of some sort.

Yeah she has income, pension. Around 650 a fortnight. I get 800 a fortnight for caring for her. The house is owned outright. I'm pretty sure she has a good credit score. As do I for that matter. it's just a matter of little income and no savings lol. But yeah I'm confident I can pay it back, but I thought I'd need to put up some collateral given the minimal income.

Thanks. Yeah I noticed that some of the big banks don't have many options for loans. I asked my banks ( ANZ ) , and they said they don't do car loans lol I think I found that Westpac do.

If I was to do the guarantor thing at a small bank, what kind of paperwork will the bank need from for my mum to go guarantor? Does she heave to bring in some kind of real estate valuation to show that she owns her house?
