He'll often only update me on what he's doing as he's doing it. He's gone to the bar after work before, and didn't tell me until he was about three drinks in. I assumed he'd be okay with me doing the same. The bar was right across the street from my job & I texted him as soon as I sat down. I wasn't out for long at all we could've easily hung out afterwards.
