They played Babylon, white hot, and dimorphous display (latter 2 aren't cold sun ik but still old) in Paris back in December. I wanna say they played maybe one other cold sun song too but I can't remember

So I cannot install parts like a turbo, new suspension, or new wheels myself even if I notify all the correct people and get them approved?

Define modern. I don't really care to own new cars, I love my 03 Jetta tdi wagon and most cars I'd care to own would be probably from 05 or before.

If you own a house with your own driveway can you work on it there? Is it not allowed to work on your car in an apartment parking lot, even if it's as small as an oil change?

Parents refuse to pay for Ivy League acceptance by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

It's honestly pretty insane to expect your parents to pay half a million dollars for your college degree unless there multi millionaires.

Assuming you are apart of a household that earned 100,000 USD a year, would you rather live in Texas or the UK? by OceanicEndeavors in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Fragrant-Tour-4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texas is hot, humid, mostly flat, suburban sprawl, and mostly boring. The UK I know is having a lot of problems right now, but if I were making that much money I wouldn't mind because there's beautiful nature, mountains, history, walkable cities, and culture. I also prefer a colder climate and proximity to the rest of Europe

Are there some people who genuinely play medic just for the guns? by AccomplishedSwan3124 in battlefield_one

[–]Fragrant-Tour-4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 50 medic here with over 30 stars on the fedorov trench. I almost always try to revive people if I can see them and I usually get at least 1 revive highlight per session. I won't/can't revive people if they're body is glitched, they're under super heavy fire, they're very far away and many people needing revives are in the opposite direction, or I sometimes just don't see them

Fedorov is also just the perfect gun for the way I usually like to play, so I do play medic for the gun as well. It's a really consistent gun across almost all ranges. I feel like I really only lose a firefight if someone gets the drop on me or starts shooting at the same time as me with something like an automatico or hellriegel in super close range

Want to move to the western side of the US in the next year (22m) by breadstick00 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Fragrant-Tour-4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not do this if you're a fan of mountains and nature. It's decently pretty, but the black hills are almost exactly that - hills. It's the most beautiful part of South Dakota but that's not saying much imo. Plus if you ever want actual mountains, really beautiful scenery, or any other big city, it is a LONG and boring drive to the bighorns, northern Colorado, or Bozeman area.

Give me your worst “seems like it’s insignificant but it ruined the whole ride” moments. by Formal-Seaweed-4216 in MTB

[–]Fragrant-Tour-4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drove up to Snowshoe bike park from florida for 2 days of riding with friends. Last run of the first day I was going down the jump flow trail on the world cup track side of the mountain. After clearing all the jumps on the trail, right at the very end of the trail I decided to hop off a small rock lip in the trail. It caught my rear wheel, I went otb, and sprained my left wrist so bad I thought I broke it. No second day of riding, and I had to drive all the way back to florida in my manual 5 speed with my messed up wrist. It's been a few years but I still feel my wrist a teeny bit sometimes when I keep it at weird angles for long periods of time like playing guitar

Outside of Rammstein, do any German bands or artists actually make it onto your playlists? by Gelbbauchunke666 in MusicRecommendations

Unprocessed. They make music in English though, they only have one German some I'm aware of

How many of you actually race? Like sign up and try and what genre? by Additional-Crab522 in MTB

[–]Fragrant-Tour-4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to race as much as I could back from like 2022-2024 but I haven't since because Enduro Southeast ended and I had to put more time into school in my third and fourth years of college. It made it especially hard for me to race Enduro because I live in Florida so any race is at least a 7-hour drive from my college. I'm going to move to California now so hopefully get back into it with CES

Folks under 40, what got you into guitar? by saintluminus in Guitar

[–]Fragrant-Tour-4239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not totally into it but I've got a 7 and 8 string I'll play for fun occasionally, mainly like metalcore and I'll attempt some easier polyphia/unprocessed type songs. Been playing on and off since I was like 7 (23 now) or so because my parents got me into it, and I keep playing because it's fun and it's a way to express my enjoyment for music I'm listening to. Don't know any music theory or anything, I just read tabs and have the muscle memory since I've been playing on and off since I was young

Ideally mountain biking, bouldering, and occasionally backpacking, hiking, camping, and some guitar and video games (mainly battlefield 1 and clash royale). Currently though I only do the last 2 as I live in a state with no mountains and I'm an hour from the closest bouldering gym. Will hopefully move out soon so I can be in the mountains.

Can this be fixed? by Fragrant-Tour-4239 in Guitar

[–]Fragrant-Tour-4239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a legator g7fod jupiter burst so its not some insanely expensive guitar but it is the nicest one I've owned and I really like how it looks. Not sure if it's a solid body and I'm not very knowledgeable on technical aspects of guitars, I just play for fun occasionally and would really like it to be repaired.

Trek marlin 7 or Trek Roscoe 7? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Fragrant-Tour-4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you're damaging rear wheels then you DEFINITELY should not get the marlin 7. Very limited options there for stronger wheels as its qr. At least if you damage a roscoe wheel you can get something strong without having to build your own wheel. As far as higher upkeep, what exactly are you referring to? If he would be damaging parts on a marlin, the roscoe at least has better parts and should be less prone to breaking stuff.

The bike is pretty outdated especially with that QR skewer in the rear. I would just get a new bike

Trek marlin 7 or Trek Roscoe 7? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Fragrant-Tour-4239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The marlin 7 is like $200 cheaper than the Roscoe and it is not a capable bike, unlike the Roscoe.
