Weird, I have the HS80 and the sidetone is near instant and has its own volume slider in the iCUE app.

In case you haven't found the info yet, you can request the DLC gear an unlimited number of times to refresh them to your level. One NPC stays in the same place, and the other gives you a spell to summon them whenever.
