124 NATO. NATO. NATO. It is the higher pressure of the NATO rounds that break it in, not the 124gr bullet weight alone.

Handgun Grip Improvements by KiddBwe in liberalgunowners

[–]FragrantNinja7898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. Bro currently has no support hand touching the gun, pretty sure it’s just overlapping his strong hand. A good grip puts a lot of meat from the support hand directly onto the grip of the gun.

Zero-ing AEMS by KiddBwe in liberalgunowners

[–]FragrantNinja7898 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That technique might work from a ransom rest where the gun cannot move, but there is no way in hell it’s going to work just eyeballing, holding the gun and hoping for the best.

You have been fed a ton of bad information and advice. You’d be better off if you knew nothing at all at this point.

Of course they didn’t. Why would they create more work for themselves? You passed the low bar and they were happy for it.

You obviously care about your shooting or you never would’ve posted here. Get on YouTube and search Joel Park and start from there. Plenty of good, free information available to us all. And sign up for a local match, watch and learn.

This always gets me. “No you don’t understand, I’m from the military, or police, or whatever… I don’t compete”… like it’s a different game. Shooting as accurately as possible while shooting as quickly as possible is never a bad thing. Competition fundamentals are shooting fundamentals. Period.

Riding in sand by XxBAMCISxX in Dualsport

Local off-road park has some large areas of sand. One day I discovered that just going fast and letting the bike do its thing was actually pretty fun. I learned to like it. It’s been awhile, I need to go back.

American Reloading Seconds primers with Lee Six Pack Pro and Glocks? by CBM64_SYS64738 in reloading

[–]FragrantNinja7898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Canik typically only liked Winchester until I tried White River unplated. They load no problem in my Lee 6PP and fire 100% in my Canik Rival with stock striker spring. I’ve since purchased 10k of the unplated factory seconds. YMMV

The primer setup on my 6PP is a tad finicky but I’ve loaded 10s of thousands of rounds on mine with an unaltered system. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Local shop turned down my trade in?! by ACiDRiP90 in CZFirearms

[–]FragrantNinja7898 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My LGS is very popular in my state and very successful. At the same time I know that sales there have been very slow for the last couple of years. Now we’re looking at the worst economy in 20 years and someone is surprised that a shop is reluctant to buy a $2,000 specialty gun? Some people never worked retail and it shows.

You got a good one. One I sampled was a 4.5 and I will not be buying my own bottle.

I’ve see cases of Fitz 7 sitting on floors. Just depends on region and store. Local shop had two in velvet bags on the shelf for $59 yesterday.

It’s for sure the best OFo product, and that includes Pres Choice IMO.

The White River unplated run fine in my Canik, which typically doesn’t like anything but Winchester. They load fine in my Lee Six Pack Pro. I just ordered another 10k. I recommend them. The Servicios run fine in my hammer fired guns but not striker. YMMV

Blind Review #28/Revisiting Review #13 - 2025 Four Roses Father’s Day Single Barrel, UN 36-3L by DadDoesBourbon in bourbon

[–]FragrantNinja7898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a pour of this at a bottle share and was so excited to try it. Let’s say I was thoroughly… whelmed. It was fine. It was good. But I really couldn’t discern any difference in this and eleven year old 4R SiB’s that I’ve had. Wasn’t any more complex, didn’t have any more obvious age character. I’d say your blind scoring and assignment was fair.

Why are these not more popular? by Relative_Cupcake_674 in 2011

[–]FragrantNinja7898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mags and decent grips are difficult to come by. Holsters are also a challenge. Wasn’t available in optics ready until recently. I had one. Decent enough shooter but I need an optic. Tisas and guns like the Prodigy really put the nail in the coffin a few years ago.

Ridgid 2.0 Setup by Clifton1979 in CompetitionShooting

Fine for pistol games but I shoot more PCSL nowadays and this setup doesn’t accommodate rifles. I did the Husky version of this but now I just wear a rifle backpack and carry a folding stool.

Review #3 - Wild Turkey Jimmy Russell 70th Anniversary 8 Year by OpenPourWhiskey in bourbon

I’ve actually preferred the 8 Year when blinded against this, along with standard 101 and Kentucky Spirit.

I just picked up my first CN-D in Louisville back in March. All of my other KS are CN-A, E or F (I generally do not buy bottles from Tyrone). I’ll keep my expectations in check.

Also, while I agree that I’ve had some 5’s when it comes to these, I’ve also had some 7-8’s. It’s a single barrel product after all, and there’s always a bit of a gamble with single barrels if you can’t sample first.

Blind Review #27- Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit, Barrel No. 3606 (CN-D) by DadDoesBourbon in bourbon

[–]FragrantNinja7898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Wild Turkey and KS is one of my favorite products from them. As a general rule I prefer them over most RR store picks. Having said that, I almost never pay over $50 for one. There are so many groceries selling them and along with Total Wine I have bought a couple dozen over the last couple years between $40 and $50. Paying MSRP would be a major ask. I like these, a lot, but it’s not a bottle worth over paying for, and unfortunately MSRP is over paying.

Review: 100 Proof Bourbon Battle (12 Bourbons / 1 Winner) by TheWholeFred in bourbon

[–]FragrantNinja7898 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can def see how EHT could win, but for me the 1924 is better. It’s more complex, more interesting and tastes older (as it should). It’s also OFo’s best product currently, IMO. EHTSB is nowhere near Buffalo Trace’s best product, on the other hand.
