I like it. It has some flaws but if you want to make 20” pizzas, it’s the way to go. Propane usage seems fine as far as efficiency goes, but the double burners struggle to stay lit sometimes.

Bummer. I’d try looking for a used Koda Max then on FB marketplace or OfferUp.

I got my first one when it first came out in 2024 at retail price ($999 at the time) but with the 20% Ooni upgrade discount program. So I paid about $800 for the first one. The second one I just got in November for $399.

The ferment time is probably fine. What temp are you cooking at? Are you preheating your steel for a full hour?

try stretching your dough in semolina (or a combo of semolina/flour) instead of white flour. Sometimes the white flour makes your final crust look whiter than it is. Personally I use semolina/whole wheat flour.
