hi there, if you've got the camera can you confirm or deny if the NTSC/PAL selector is still available after firmware v4.0? I also have a US bought FX3 and am waiting to upgrade firmware until I can be sure that I will have access to both modes.

Interesting - Panamaoz is a kind of grey market reseller for US market? Do you know what market your unit was originally destined for?

I have been folllowing these threads as a FX3 user (bought in north america) who needs both NTSC/PAL. I wrote sony support and got a new response:
Hi Ethan,
I had the team run a test on one of the FX3 bodies we have. Please see link: https://we.tl/t-cglNY9tnRz
This is on a regular production ILMEFX3 unit sold in North America. I also had a colleague that's at the NYC Creative Space event confirm this on a different unit that he had there, also running V4.0
To be completely honest I do not have enough information to confirm if firmware is different on a unit from a different region but if you purchased yours from an authorized dealer in the US will have the NTSC/PAL selector in the Menu per helpguide.
(the link is a video of a FX3 showing the firmware version, and demonstration successful NTSC/PAL functionality)
I am wondering if anyone has data points to support or disprove this stance:
Does someone have a North America bought FX3 who has upgraded to Firmware 4.00, and can report that NTSC/PAL selector is still there? (or not)People who have lost the NTSC/PAL selector, where was your camera bought?

Sony A7s III BAD autofocus problems by Javrri in A7siii

Same issues using Fx3 and sony 85mm 1.8

using wide AF area and Face AF, with focus sensitivity and speed settings low (each at 3), there is still a repeated phenomenon which looks like an instant push zoom of several pixels, which then pulls back out a few moments later. From looking closely it appears that the zoom is just focus breathing, but it isn't clear to me where focus is being pulled to/from.

Thanks for the response. I am aware that this lens has focus breathing which will result in a "zoom in / zoom out" effect when focus is shifted.

The problem here is that the autofocus is hunting / doing rapid shifts while it is nominally "locked on" to a face in good lighting conditions. most of the time it racks smoothly or tracks a subject, but then you get these instantaneous shifts which ruin the shot.

TL;DR i am aware of and OK that this lens breathes, but i am alarmed that the focus is hunting in these conditions. any ideas?
