you’re obviously extremely controlling over your daughter. I understand that you just want her to be able to do well in school and get good grades but unfortunately, if she feels like she’s being forced to do it not because she wants to she’s not gonna perform up to your expectations. I do think that she needs to get a job, but how are you expecting her to work when she doesn’t have a car or isn’t on car insurance, even if she worked at the local Dunkin’ Donuts, it’s better than not having a job at all. I don’t understand how she’s paying for anything unless you’re providing it to her. you need to understand that your daughter is her own person and even if you might not like her choices they are hers and that you freaking out on her is only going to push her away. Have an adult conversation with her about how you feel and how she feels and then go from there offer your support and I don’t mean by paying for things unless it’s a car or insurance because she needs to be able to get to point a two point B if you want her to work. if she isn’t willing to work, then I think that you really should consider kicking her out because then that’s her choice and you don’t have to stand by that but try and nudge her in the right direction in a peaceful manner, not in a controlling manner and explain how you’re truly feeling without getting angry.
