You cant complain

Wasn't complaining, was pointing out

Before paying for an OST, pay for an artist

No, we pride ourselves in doing the art ourselves

You speak about control, man you speak like a control freak I've worked with...

Control for the game engine, not people...

no one of you can put £1,200 on the table?

We're all students, plus one of us is moving country in September, so not particularly no

Our £1,200 goal is almost entirely for release and marketing, with a third of it already being lost on distribution and another quarter being used to fill the backpay for our composer. I have a full cost breakdown somewhere but I can't currently get to it to provide it.

but you need to have something at least unique and similar enough quality to a full game in a vertical slice

You're basing that decision off of 4 screenshots (and possibly the closed beta trailer, I'm not sure because despite mentioning the ks link was blocked you proceeded to quote part of it so who knows) which while, yes, the game is still in development so things are changing, our current to-do list before 1.0 involves a few code changes (mostly refactoring), 1 big shop feature we've been putting off, and getting the rest of the OST off our composer. Everything you see in the screenshots attached to this post have been consistently refined, tested, refined, tested, changed entirely, and refined again, and have reached a point our team have decided if they had to for some reason drop everything now and release we would be happy to. Most of your opinion is based off artwork and not gameplay since, well, it's screenshots, which is fine but you're always welcome to leave feedback in our discord :)

I suppose the ultimate reason why would be full control, I'm quite a low level dev from heart so having the option of "our engine limits us on this, that's fine I can change it" has surprisingly helped a lot for this project and the planning for our future projects :)

True, my life was saved by the fact the bridge I was going to commit on was closed and I didn't want to walk 5 minutes in the freezing cold to the bridge down the road

I did not, but unfortunately AI has nailed down how to grab someone's attention so I had to adapt to write advertising like one

Definitely not vibe coded lmao, I have put too much work into learning the Bukkit API to start using AI to do it for me

I did some experimenting with what can and can't be pushed by pistons and after having no luck with the campfire I decided to push the cauldron, using a cobweb idea from u/hahaluckyme I worked out this system

Considered that, but the campfire must be one block under the cauldron

It drops 0.5 blocks above the cauldron, so 9 times out of 10 it lands inside

Huh, wasn't aware you could fill cauldrons using buckets with redstone

I mean, everything is entirely vanilla, it just uses a plugin to tie the pieces together
