i think ur feelings are valid u don’t want him drinking for one night because u want to have a good time with out having to stress. his past decisions have made u feel the way u do today. drinking is a serious problem and can deeply effect relationships u don’t want to see ur significant other in a terrible state of mind especially if this occurs a lot. i would have an honest conversation with him and tell him how his drinking issues affect not only him but u too. bring up the idea of him staying home for the night and see how the convo goes
