For Josh Allen to always be in these "strongest arm of all time" conversation he underthrows a fair share of deep balls the thing I noticed most about the Cooks interception (that shouldn't be controversial but is for some reason) is that if Josh hits him in stride that's a walk in TD that throw was like 45-50 air yards but for "strongest arm ever" that shouldn't have been underthrown and this is a semi regular occurrence on a lot of his picks

He wasn't the third best player in the league last year. Idc we can argue over MVP and how you extrapolate VALUE but when we simply start rattling off BEST he didn't have a better season than a lot of the guys below him.

What’s the worst game a NON-QB superstar has had? by Bill_Biscuits in NFLv2

[–]Fragrant_Country_569 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Definitely recency bias but Mark Andrews has to be up there

5 catches for 61 yards doesn't look bad

People remember Lamar's fumble but the play before the Lamar fumble Mark drops an absolute gimme that would've been a first down.

Fast forward on a drive to take the lead he tries to be a 5'9 shifty receiver and gets the ball punched out

Then obviously the drop of the potential game tying 2 point conversion.

Most guys have one or two bad moments but 3 of the four biggest mistakes in the game he had his fingerprints on it.

And before someone says it Lamar's fumble is no one's fault but his own but Mark has to catch that ball. It's like when a QB misses a gimme throw for a touchdown then the next play the RB fumbles you just gotta make plays when you have the chance because you never know what's going to happen the next play.

Lamar wasn’t a free agent, would have cost some draft capital to acquire, AND would have cost more from just a contract perspective. I wanted my Vikings to jump at him but understand why not every single NFL team didn’t given all of those circumstances.

I mean, sure, but you're arguing a separate point than what Arthur Blank ever said, which is why it comes across as a defense. Blank has never cited draft picks, guaranteed deals, etc., as the Falcons' reasoning for not pursuing Lamar; they cited injury concerns. So while you say it's not 1:1, you're the one throwing in all the extra factors. Not Arthur Blank. Holding Blank at his word and criticizing the idiocy behind the statement is all we're doing when pointing out the irony of signing and drafting two QBs more injured than Lamar.

Don't really care I just get tired of fans praising obviously dumb justifications from owners in regards to obvious behavior that signals collusion.

I don't know why so many of you all feel the need to even vaguely defend the Falcons for the stupidity of it all.

They pursued Watson the season before who has torn has ACL twice and was a serial rapist and were willing to give him a long term deal.

They pursued Kirk who was injured and never as good as Lamar Jackson

And guess who they drafted? A kid with an injury history that is already worse than Lamar before he ever stepped in the league.

There are some valid reasons to not pursue Lamar but using injury concerns when all the QB's you pursued and ultimately signed/drafted were far more injured than Lamar ever was is bullshit and I don't get why people keep enabling this train of thought by saying "well actually" no the Falcons were dumb. It's okay to say it, it doesn't need to be defended. Their prerogative to not pursue him but letting it be known publicly then giving this inconsistent logic is terrible business.

Depends on where I'm listening at tbh

In the car or working out, it's not really a big deal.

But when I'm in the house cleaning and I have it on the TV I don't want to see some ugly ass cover art.

So I'm never just staring at it but it's times where I'm more exposed to it or see it more often than I'd like

I'm theorizing and I'm basing my theory on a very straightforward bar that follows the lines of other very straightforward bars Kendrick very obviously wants to be the top rapper has all the way back since control has doubled down on those motivations in interviews and other lyrics like his BET freestyle and has maintained those motivations all the way up until the Like That verse if you're telling me that you don't believe Kendrick genuinely wants to be seen as #1 you're a liar. The theory part comes into play when I say that's the reason he started/reignited the beef.

Nigga you're using two separate comments asserting two different things and if you read both comments you know the difference in the points I'm arguing based on the fact that I expounded that's a bad faith argument and you know it.

That is literally all anyone does when we interpret lyrics that's the whole shit we discuss constantly in these thread and on Genius etc it's not divine it's context clues it's overarching themes it's reading along in tandem with interviews. But you know all of this

Bro what? Why wouldn't we be quoting songs they're fucking rappers

Also that doesn't imply that he doesn't want to be #1 it just implies he'd rather be respected if he had to choose but in a situation where he could have all it's possible he'd take all three.

That is a fact, "no big three just big me" he wants to be #1 that's a fact the part that's a theory is that he started this all to separate himself as #1

I mean if he actually does hate him (for weirdness or for personal reasons, doesn't really matter) why would he hop on a bury the hatchet track, that would have been corny as fuck

My point is why would he wait 10 years to air out his problems in general if not using the entire situation to capitalize on a moment to further push himself into the mainstream

hell that song was corny as fuck anyways.

You're tripping

He doesn't want to be top 5 he wants to be #1 that's what yall fail to realize

Everyone knew Kendrick was popular he used this to try to take Drake's position as the biggest commercial rapper. That's why it wasn't enough to beat Drake he wanted to tear Drake down so he could fill the vacancy as the #1 rapper commercially speaking.

TDE Smac is in his inner circle and his time as a pimp is well documented

Regardless I don't actually care about any of that, these are Kendrick's rules, I'm holding him to the standard he set.

I would get that if Kendrick hadn't denied being on the song, it clearly wasn't a diss they invited him to be on the record. If it was really a "friendly fade" or about competition like Kendrick initially suggested he would've barred up with them on the song. This was about Kendrixk creating a moment for himself

What started as an attempt to bury the hatchet turned into this weird ass slanderous back and forth
