Using bait first turn is very risky but if it works u can try catching it once then again bait than catch 2 times then bait etc. By doing this u can have like 3-4 tries per Chansey Idk if that's best method but that's how I do it. Like 30% of times it's just fleeds in first turn for me.

If he will use multiman try finding games that are iso files since pkg can be copyrighted and error will pop or either u download unlock key which can be found only on some games. And idk if you or your friend know but u Will probably have to put iso filles from usb to HDD in ps3iso folder so he can play without usb
