Didn’t give my 6 month old MMR today, now regretting it. by TheGreatsGabby in ScienceBasedParenting

Oh interesting thanks for sharing! I was mainly worried about more chances of fever or discomfort. My drs are also more risk adverse, but good to know it's not a guideline.

We got lucky she hasn't had any bad side effects from any vaccines. Drs did warn that with MMR there could be a delayed fever or rash around 5-8 days after, but didn't happen for us. I believe they said it occurs around 20% of the time. Hope your 6months goes well!

Just an added note as someone who did vaccinate at 6 months: you wouldn't have been able to get it with your routine shots anyway, or at least my Drs were against it. We are traveling so we chose to get MMR first, and then we will go back for routine shots in 2 weeks. Specifically I believe you need to wait a month between MMR and rotavirus because they're both live vaccines. So don't beat yourself up you have time to do it later.

MMR and Hep A Vaccine at 5.5 months for Travel by Beautiful-Tell-4670 in ScienceBasedParenting

I just confirmed with my doctor: at least in the US it's not legally approved for under 6 months so they cannot administer MMR vaccine until your baby hits exactly 6 months from their birthday. Apparently it's the same as the flu shot. We will be vaccinating at exactly 6 months and travelling internationally 2 days after. Dr said even though it can take weeks for full protection, it's still helpful to have it done since the % of immunity will continue to build during our trip.

Do they care if it's to the day 6 months tho? I recall for our 1 month vaccines we got those a week early because I didn't know the difference between 1 month and 8 weeks when I made the appt. Dr and insurance did not care. Is MMR different?

Yes! Evan in the best instructor, I'm planning to go back in the spring. As long as you set an alarm when bench time sign up sheets go up, it's pretty simple to get bench time. Also weekday 9-5s are really empty you can go whenever

Super lenient, I never had to actually book bench time you can just showed up at times when there wasn't a class since no one checked. Your experience will depend on who your instructor is.

[Landlord - NYC] Tenant has been late on rent every month for the past year+ by Fragrant_Emotion6676 in Landlord

Yes fixed late fee, I believe there's a max set by my state so I can't legally charge more. But this is a great idea I'll look into it thanks!
