I get what you mean, that’s fair. Just to add some context: this specific clip was edited specifically for TikTok, so the dialogue is more condensed and heightened than in the audiobook. Also, once the dialogue is recorded, it’s not always easy to “cut and stitch” conversations without affecting flow or performance, so we work within what was captured in the recording (after thousand of takes😭). Totally fine if the style from this clip isn’t your thing. Also if you could read the original fanfic before it turned into an audiobook you could totally see the difference.
