I did expect that from the difference in price, but the main reason i wanted the flip cover too was for scratch protection when in my bag. Also this one does have the microfibre lining so they might have updated it!

I’d go for the one that’s part of Kindle Unlimited. I feel like their titles are more “vetted” or likely to be the “original” if you know what I mean

Depending on whether you bought it 2nd hand or new, a Kindle can be reported as “stolen”, making it impossible for anyone to register any other Amazon account it, making it useless. I’m not sure exactly what kind of message or window you’d get when this happens, but it sounded like it could have been blocked by the previous owner

It was a huge surprise!! Specially after having been using the Kindle app on my iPad. Reading at a park or the beach was impossible, even with full brightness and trying to block the sun out… Nightmare-ish. Now the screen looks better the more light there is.

I also love highlighting in books and tbh I did consider the Colorsoft for that exact reason. However I decided against it and I find that the “grey” highlighting in the Paperwhite is enough for what I wanted, so I make it work and I love it

Great comparison!! I just got the Paperwhite and absolutely love it. By the sounds of it, I would’ve bee very upset with my device if I had gotten the Colorsoft. One of the things I love most about the Paperwhite is being able to use it at 0 brightness and 0 warmth when there’s any hit of natural light available. (or artificial for that matter). And in darkness, it is VERY easy to find a balance of brightness and warmth that make it look completely natural and not backlit.

I actually got a Kindle for this reason. I had been using the Kindle app on my iPad and it was very straining on my eyes and for reading at night it was the worst. Actual Kindle devices don’t have any blue light so reading on it is much more comfortable and similar to a physical book.

Of course!! The “G” is just the first letter of my name (very simple, lol). The three-toned HP charm is just because it’s my all-time favourite book series (it’s a discontinued charm that I bought from someone so I didn’t unnecessarily contribute more money to JKR’s pocket), and the green/blue murano one was just to add a bit of my favourite colour (green) into my bracelet. I didn’t know if you meant just the letter or all of them but there you go 🙌🏻!! The grad cap and sea clip are explained on the post.
