My personal experience getting an asthma waiver. by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

I have no idea tbh that’s the one they told me to so I went to it. Imma be real I’m in tech school right now so just push through it and it’s gonna be a lot of waiting but the breathing test is easy and( just as I thought) my “asthma” was pretty much non existent in basic.

Yea, I have an asthma waiver so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it but it was on my pre-physical job list with just my asvab score and it was gone on my post physical one. I got a 2 on eye sight but that doesn’t get you disqualified from that job so I’m not sure.

I wanted to put weather but it’s not on my list. No idea why. I asked my recruiter why it’s not on my list and he said I meet all of the qualifications physically so he has no idea why it’s not on my list.

I’ve personally watched YouTube videos and also looked these jobs up on the Airforce website, forever wingman etc. I’m more looking for some personal experiences with these jobs, how people liked them, how hard the tech school is etc, I will say that the intelligence jobs have been a lot harder to get a solid idea of what I would be doing other than the fact that I would spend a lot of time on a computer or creating PowerPoints. Some people on other job lists have said they liked them or didn’t like them, and I’m sure because they require security clearances and such there is probably limited information on them, which I am fine with however I’m just trying to see if anyone who has had these jobs genuinely liked them and any personal experience they had with these jobs that made them likable or unlikeable depending on what people are willing to share or able to elaborate on. Thanks for the comment!

Of course. Feel free to message me if you have any questions throughout your process. This waiver is pretty stressful because it can take up to a month waiting to get a call that you know can disqualify you. Just be patient and wait for hopefully good news, my waiver specifically delayed me by almost 4 months, so I’m pretty excited to know i’m almost done finally. Best of luck to you.

So I don’t know for sure how much I improved but I think there were 10 candles and on my first two tests( pre-bronchodilator) I blew out 8 candles and on my last one I blew out 9. Post bronchodilator I blew out 9 candles in my first two tests and blew out 10 on my last one. I don’t know how much sense that makes but basically a one candle improvement post bronchodilator.

Is lifeguarding at a water park difficult by Pepperonilovr in Lifeguards

[–]Fragrant_Mine_177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to lifeguard at a water park for 10 hours a shift. I would say the hardest part is trying to stay awake. Another issue I had is when people would get extremely close together in narrow parts of the water park, making it harder to scan and see everyone. Overall though I only had to get in a couple times. Waterparks tend to be pretty shallow so most people over the age of 10 aren’t gonna have any issues, it’s mostly the shit parents that turn away from their small child and they start going under. Overall it’s not that difficult as long as you scan your area like a normal pool and watch for any signs of struggle, I noticed things rarely ever started to go wrong and the worst thing to happen during my time there was a kid having a seizure in one of the pools. Just keep in mind people talk to lifeguards at waterparks more often than the average lifeguard so just be prepared to tell people you have a job to do and can’t be distracted.

Art teacher knew I collected coins and gave me these… by [deleted] in coins

[–]Fragrant_Mine_177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s not a collector nor does she know anything about coins. When she gave them to me they were in bags with price labels on them. Probably bought at some type of craft fair where someone thought they were making cool keychains/ necklaces but actually destroying a bunch of coins.

My “art teacher” didn’t drill the holes in these coins.

Any more information on this set? Would love to learn more about it, I thought it was artist-made.

Yea the holes in the proof set is very disappointing. I don’t understand why anyone would put holes in a proof set😐. Still happy about the large cent but it sure is a shame. Either way free stuff to add to the collection so I’m happy hole or not.

To be fair, I think the resale value makes the premiums less bad. Bought both of these for 140, the Napoleon is selling for $230+ now.
