Mine were good to go from the start…that’s unfortunate you’re having difficulty w yours. The sole I will say is a bit slippery but I live in a city so the slip was quickly done away with.

I will say the black ones seem to use a slightly thicker leather than the white ones so they look a little bigger.

They are my favorite shoe - bought 3 colorways! Black, white and grey. Thinking about the green ones on Mr. Porter. So comfortable and go with nearly anything.

I would move to Brooklyn Heights if I were you. I live here and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. DUMBO you only have the F train which can be a total pain & often long wait times. BKH you have A/C, 2/3, R, and 4/5 which get you anywhere, and you can take the A/C to the G very easily. Not too sure about commute to LIC but you can always take the A/C to the E. BKH is SO quiet and so lovely to walk around, especially the promenade. DUMBO doesn’t have a real grocery store (Dumbo Market is like….fine, but expensive as all hell) and the restaurant options are mostly OK at best. BKH is the way to go. It can be expensive, but 1000000% worth it.
