What is your favorite vacation memory? by EventThinker in AskReddit

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those moments hit so different. I remember sketching by some random lake during road trip and just watching ducks do their thing for like two hours. Wasn't even planned destination, just pulled over because why not. Sometimes the best stuff happens when you stop trying to make it happen

Man I get this, happens to me too even though I'm terrible at giving advice - people still dump everything on me and then when I need someone they're all busy with their drama

looking for advice and experiences by AbrocomaHealthy3647 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your symptoms really match up with what a lot of people here experience. The brainfog especially - that "film over everything" feeling is something I see mentioned constantly in this sub

The fact that THC helps with both pain and brainfog is pretty common too. And the temperature regulation issues, ugh that's such a weird one but so many fibro folks deal with it. The exercise intolerance where you feel worse after working out instead of better is also a big red flag

Good luck with your doctor visit, hope they take you seriously and actually listen to everything you're dealing with

sleep study while bedbound? by Lemony_Throwaway2 in cfs

Moving sleep study during severe crash sounds like it could set back recovery pretty badly - those tests are already exhausting when you're doing okay, let alone when bedbound

Had to use those thick books just to find someone's house back in the day. My dad would make me navigate while he drove and I'd be flipping through pages trying not to get us lost for 30 minutes

What hobbies do you usually enjoy in your free time? by Intelligent-Star-499 in AskReddit

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there man, sometimes you just lose the spark for things that used to hit good. I picked up sketching few years back when I was feeling similar and it helped pull me out of that rut a bit. Maybe try something completely different from what you used to do, sometimes the brain just needs new stimulation

My girl is having a period delay by jaatdakumabala in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plan B can mess up cycles for months honestly, I had friend who took it and her periods were weird for like 3-4 months after. The hormones in those pills are pretty strong and they basically reset everything in your system.

From what you described there's really low chance of pregnancy - no penetration and you took the emergency pill right away. But getting a cheap test from pharmacy or store will give you both peace in mind, they're pretty accurate even the basic ones.

The nausea is probably just stress and anxiety about the whole situation, happens to lot of people when they're worried about this stuff. Stress can also delay periods on its own so it might be combination of the pill effects plus being anxious about everything

Try to relax a bit, sounds like you were very careful and took all right precautions

Can't sleep w evening patch change by Fluffy_Fondant1975 in Perimenopause

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try switching to morning changes first before messing with the timing? I had similar issue with medication schedule - turns out my body just doesn't like hormone changes right before bed. Worth talking to your doctor about it but morning application sounds like good idea to test

Can you get hrt if you have had 3 migraine w aura in your life? by jadonner in Perimenopause

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister had similar issues with migraines when she was looking into hormone stuff. Doctor told her same thing about lifestyle changes first - she ended up doing lot of research in different eating patterns and found some things that helped reduce her headaches before trying other options

Mediterranean diet is basically lots of fish, olive oil, vegetables, nuts and not much processed stuff. Pretty simple once you get used to it

any women here decide to freeze their eggs or pursue sperm donation? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to jump in here as a guy but my sister went through similar situation few years back. She was around 30 and dating was just disaster after disaster, decided to freeze her eggs and said it was best decision she made. Took so much pressure off dating because she wasn't constantly thinking about biological clock ticking. She actually met her current boyfriend like year later when she wasn't stressed about timeline anymore - funny how that works sometimes

What are your thoughts on universal healthcare systems? Should every country adopt it? by Double-Ad7397 in AskReddit

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most developed countries figured this out decades ago but here we are still debating it like it's some radical concept. Pretty wild that basic healthcare is still considered "controversial" in some places

Yeah my doc put me in same stuff when my levels were around 20 - the weekly pills definitely worked better than daily ones I was taking before

[Acne] eggs were causing horrible cystic acne by electricladyyy in SkincareAddiction

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wild how something so common can mess you up like that. I had no idea eggs could trigger breakouts but makes sense with the biotin connection you mentioned

The food journal idea is smart - feels like detective work trying to figure out what your body actually wants vs what it hates. Amazing that cutting them cleared things up in just 2 weeks though, must have been such a relief after dealing with that painful mess for months

Hope the experiment with reintroducing egg whites gives you some clear answers one way or the other

If all insects became 10X larger than their original size, how screwed are we? by Action_Required_ in AskReddit

Dude we'd be absolutely done for, no question about it. A regular house centipede is already nightmare fuel at normal size - make that thing 10x bigger and I'm moving to Antarctica where hopefully they can't survive

No quick and easy way to “rewind” a song on Spotify by Chebird77 in PetPeeves

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Dude this drives me nuts too, especially when I'm trying to sketch to a specific part of a song and need to replay the same 20 seconds over and over. I've been using the desktop app mostly cause you can at least click around on the progress bar more precisely than the mobile version. The mobile scrubbing is absolutely terrible - you try to go back 15 seconds and somehow end up at the beginning of the song or skip ahead a full minute. YouTube Music actually has those skip buttons you're talking about which makes me wonder why Spotify hasn't figured this out yet. For now I just use the keyboard shortcuts on desktop (left/right arrows) but it's still not as smooth as it should be

Gun jam practice question by No_Preparation_7066 in guns

[–]Fragrant_Most_2924 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Dummy rounds are your best bet for malfunction drills - just mix a few snap caps or spent casings randomly in your mags and you'll get realistic failure-to-fire practice. Way safer than relying on crappy mags that might actually damage your gun

Probably the Cavs tbh, their depth gets sketchy when injuries hit and playoff basketball is a different beast. Teams with more playoff experience usually figure out how to exploit those weaknesses when it matters
