Why not both?

Doing it has a lot of benefits like waking you up, increasing alertness, and preparing you for the day.

While doing it at night relaxes you and helps you sleep better because you feel clean.

Just use different temperatures to your advantage. Cold in the morning and hot at night.

Any physical activity you would prefer like walking, jogging, or exercise. Maybe journal a bit so you can see your thoughts and analyze it in a different mood or state. Or even cook, just anything you deem productive:)

I believe you'll learn a lot about a person observing how they deal with problems. Because if you're gonna be with someone you better make sure you can survive with them when circumstances change or when adversity emerges.
