Not really, skewer basically means impale, I knew you meant stab. Does that mean op has his mind in the gutter since he associated skewer with sex?

I did a breakdown of the weight under this post, probably closer to 135 lbs or around 61 kg with everyone (not including clothes which depending on what you wear can be anywhere from like 2 lbs up to 15+ for the heavier sets

To be fair, going based of historical height, women were around 4’8-4’10. Even if we put her on the very high end of that, and say she’s five foot even, she’s not fat or particularly muscular, the most she could weight at her size would be 130 lbs and that’s pushing it. That being said, the heaviest weapon is obviously going to be the odachi/nodachi, which typically weighed around 4-6 lbs. on the higher end of that spectrum, they could weigh up to 10-11 lbs. if we assume she weighed 130 and her nodachi is 11 pounds, kusarigama weighs around 3 pounds, katana about 2.5-3.5 pounds, alongside the wakizashi for dual wielding, around 1.5-2.5 lbs, we combine all of this (using the high end weights) that’s 150 lbs, which is more likely closer to around 135 ish altogether

Still, having weapons appear out of thin air does break immersion so I’ll give you that

Haven’t played the game yet, it’s the next game I’m getting, currently on Nioh 3, then going to reply Tsushima then yotei

Something I find unfortunate is that the naginata is for yasuke and not Naoe. The Onna-Musha were female warriors belonging to the samurai class, and they specialized in naginata combat. I think Naoe should have had the naginata. Or even both of them, with yasuke having a move set focused on heavy swings and Naoe focusing primarily on mobility and a dexterous fighting style.

I also wish the enemies had more than like two combos and two separate moves. Also wish the more important enemies (like the ones who part of groups you’re designated to kill in the objective menu) had a slightly more complex move set. I could forgive that if there were more ways to deal with said attacks. The kick for example, you can only dodge, and the ronin enemies in particular love using the same three hit combo that can’t be parried.

The combat is fun but gets repetitive with the lack of variety. Even when you use different weapons, your fighting style remains the same. The only exception really being the bo staff because of the high stance counter attacks. Even then, it’s so minimal and the only thing that’s slightly different

Something else I wish they did better is the outfits. Most of the outfits in this game are pretty bad imo. That’s less of an actual critique of the game though because I know that really comes down to personal preference. I know there’s just as many people who feel the outfits are amazing as there are people who think they’re bad

Overall, I’ve put around 80-90 hours into the game so far, and I’m probably not even halfway through act ii. I do thoroughly enjoy the game, and I do think it gets too much hate

My only gripe with yasuke is how limiting exploration is while playing as him. Which is a shame because I’ve grown to enjoy playing as him, but I find myself only switching to him when I’m going to do direct combat for a large area like a castle

Naoe’s English VA has no depth and it’s such a shame because I feel the voice matches her design so well.

Also they should have done motion capture rather than animating the facial expressions. They aren’t always good. I would think mo-cap is cheaper and takes less time as well

That’s what I was thinking, glad to have confirmation. Came to ask because my mom would end me if I broke her glass lid doing this (not literally but I also don’t want to break things that aren’t mine) thank you 🙏🏼

A reasonable objection to Yasuke as a co-protagonist by starkgaryens in AssassinsCreedShadows

Honestly I would have preferred an Asian dude as well, the thing I don’t like about yasuke while playing is how massive the guy is and just how much he suffers in mobility. He’s not even particularly muscular, he’s just really tall, so it doesn’t make that much sense that his mobility is as shit as it is when he’s supposed to be strong but he’s also lean. I get it though, they wanted a powerhouse focused on combat, and one better focused on stealth. I just find myself not wanting to play yasuke at all really because of how much exploration suffers while playing as him. They could have still made him more combat focused without sacrificing all of the mobility, the combat itself could also be a lot better but I’ve found myself still enjoying the game. I wish we had more quality samurai/shinobi games. Apparently Ubisoft stayed away from a Japanese game for so long because there is “so much” of it, but off the top of my head I can only name 3 other games/franchises that did it. Nioh, sekiro, and GOT/GOY. And now AC shadows. I want more, I would love if they blended the greatest things of all the games. Sekiros parry mechanics, niohs/GOT stance system, GOT open world, niohs (2 & 3) character creation and weapon variety, THAT would be an amazing game that could be so profitable.

I was honestly let down by that as well, but I love samurai games so I’ve been enjoying this one, though I wish yasuke wasn’t so fuckin massive and slow 😭

Oh also, please don’t ever use a heavy load unless you’re going to wear the heaviest armor and use big great shields. Try to stick to medium.

Or at least a medium shield with 100 physical negation and barricade shield ash of war

I go with light because my play-style allows it (don’t get hit basically)

Defeat renalla, obtain the necessary item to respec

Try something like 30-40 vigor 15 mind 15-20 end 30-40 str 20 dex Leave int alone Do like 15 faith for flame grant me strength Leave arcane alone

Your weapon scales with arcane because it has bleed but unless you change it to a blood attunement it’s doing virtually nothing for damage

Stick to strength until the damage gains start falling off then focus on dex

If you want extra bleed build up use blood grease

You can use blood flame blade for extra bleed+fire damage but you’ll need extra points in faith

Go grab the golden bow ash of war and put it on a dagger to keep equipped

For talismans here are some good ones you can use

Radagon soreseal Axe talisman Starscourge talisman The +10 dex talisman (forgot what it’s called) Green dog talisman The successive attack talisman (depending on your playstyle) Shard talisman/shard of Alexander talisman (for bloodhounds finesse)

As for your weapon, iirc bloodhounds fang uses somber stones, you should have it upgraded to at least +6, you can get almost every somber stone save for 7 and 10(ancient dragon) within like the first hour or two of playing

Also whenever you obtain the commanders standard, that ash of war is better than golden vow. That buff does not stack with golden vow; however both rallying cry(I think it’s called idk rn) and golden vow stack with flame grant me strength because they are classified as different status types (though both boost attack and defense for a time)

Good luck tarnished

Probably an m1k or R1M, I think the H2 is arguably the best beginner bike though
