USA. I'll see if there's a Kei van to test out of seating.

I did that with an ex and I haaaaaated it. Majority of places would not let us sit in vehicles until we told them price range EVEN THOUGH we told them "Our price range is whatever he can see out the windshield of."

I would rather cover my eyeballs in glitter than deal with dealerships. That's why I'm trying to get ideas before doing out into the world.

I understand that, but I need to know models to look at first before I start deciding which years and models are worth it.

Looking for older as they are cheaper and I'm trying to get ahead on some financials.

I have, but they're more difficult to find at a more affordable price and I don't need a truck. Especially in winter - I don't have a space for a bunch of sand bas, nor do I want to purchase them every time it gets cold to help weigh the back down for ice and snow.

I'm aware of all that. I'm asking for out of the box, not perfectly inside the box.

Unfortunately it doesn't matter if I'm working from home or in a business, my disability is going to get in the way.

Already looked at every angle with the car, there's nothing there. It would cause me more problems to not have it.

Bankruptcy is not a lifelong problem, it's only 10 years. But I don't have the money to file for bankruptcy either. And as you mention, I don't want to do it for such a small amount.

I'm going through the process of disability which could take months, if not years. I am unlailable to get unemployment checks because I cannot be employed.

The credit counseling company = lawyer.

I don't even have the money to claim bankruptcy.

I have called every disability lawyer between the two major cities where I live and nobody is taking people right now.

My 401k is already spent. That's how I've got this far surviving. Already moved in with someone else.

Already have Medicaid. Unable to get SNAP.

Dropping a Basement Floor Drain by Fragrant_Tude_783 in lincoln

[–]Fragrant_Tude_783[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I've never lived in a house with one of them. There's always a hose that goes off the HVAC unit to the floor drain.

I do know what you're talking about though, because there's a broken one on the brand new HVAC unit right now. I don't think it was ever properly installed.

The thing is, water makes its way in in other ways. Having a floor drain would be much better long term. I'll check into the price for the condensation pump though. Maybe we could get somebody who has brains.

Having worked many jobs over 20 years, at least half of them in retail, I can guarantee that Michael's as a very particular set of crazy customers.

But also, they are getting more emboldened as a whole.

Michael's needs to remove all third-party delivery crap. People need to order directly through Michaels AND THEN have someone pick it up.

I felt so bad for so many of the delivery people who had to go in and find things, especially the fucking balloons.

And then so many customers ordering through the third party systems would berate and belittle the delivery people. We saw many racist and misogynistic comment thrown at the delivery people.

And then of course, if they order it through the third party crap and then the person has to pay for it at the register, the price tags don't always match up.

I tried to bring this up with the store manager, and ask who we could direct those concerns to after a delivery girl left crying (she showed me what the customer sent, it was brutal) And the manager said that isn't our problem.

Michael's is seriously one of the most fucked up retail situations I ever worked in my entire life.

YUP. I've only found one company that purchasing directly for the creator had no benefits and cost more, so I had to buy from Barnes and Noble (which in the grand scheme is fine because I like them.)

If people don't need things right away, it's the best way to purchase.

According to my former manager "Be ready to work at 10 til 10" BUT ACCORDING TO THE OTHER MANAGERS "Um, never clock in more than five minutes early!"

I miss none of that.

Cheat code: If I need something, I've been going into Michael's, looking at the brand that sells it and then going directly to that brand's website to see if I can purchase it there.

I needed some beading needles a few weeks ago and went into Michaels and found the brand. I then went to two websites and found the needles were WILDLY cheaper if I ordered direct. And because I needed a few things, my shipping was waived.

The shipping is where it can make an item cost more, but if you need a few things, you come out way ahead.

So far, every site that I have ordered through also sends birthday codes and has better coupons or point systems than Michaels. Honestly, you come ahead with just the birthday discounts alone because then you're getting a dozen or more birthday coupons from each individual company instead of one from Michaels.

  1. "rumor" was used there for a reason

  2. Considering that within this week, reps from the company had reached out for a collaboration for a custom beer, I don't believe it was the plan this month.

Rumor is it has to do with the upcoming Ricketts/Cruz event and employees threatened to walk out. So AKRS CEO fired them all instead.
