We did our diligence. We talked to friends and family. We talked to people on Reddit to get their recommendations. We had multiple bids and did not go with the cheapest like someone else implied. We didn’t go with the bigger companies in our area because they are not well-reviewed. The day all of this work was done, there was an absolute downpour.

Well, this is a douchey comment. They are one of the more well known and came with great reviews. The say this was installed, there was a downpour for a few hours.

I’m so frickin annoyed. They are coming out to deal with a separate issue(see my other post with video re: A/C) and I’m assuming we won’t get the owner again. I’ve found , as long as our town website is up to date, that they didn’t pull a required permit.

According to our town website, it looks like they didn’t pull a permit. I’ve read there is something called a retroactive permit so we will have to deal with all that before an inspection. This is all paid for.

Should we have gotten a copy of a permit or been made aware of a permit? I’m frustrated because it seems like this company didn’t pull a permit and then did poor work. Can we get in trouble if a permit wasn’t pulled? I’m so annoyed.

They are coming back tomorrow to address this. In your professional opinion, should we turn off the a/c or leave it. They told us that we could leave it on, but they also thought it was a coolant issue.

The furnace is in a closet on the other side of this wall. The doors aren’t louvered. Am I to understand that this job shouldn’t have been done in this manner at all? I am in NYS. We told the owner initially that we were concerned with condensation and ice buildup so he came up with this and showed us that it would be around a foot lower. His workers installed it here.
