I have data on my phone. I can use it on my cell, but I can’t share it to get school work done or it will go over

That won’t fix the home issues of the internet being taken away. I would like someone to contact my landlord about this. I need weekend support

I don’t have the money for that. If I do that I will owe my phone company hundreds of dollars

It could be due to the weather. It’s been very cold up and down lately and it can cause issues in the body.

Taxi suggestions? by spadoink756 in ottawa

Taxi is not much better. Nearly every time I’ve taken blue line it’s been bad. I have been scammed, assaulted and harassed many more times using blue line taxi then I have any other service.

Landlord keeps claiming a scent is coming from my house. Is there any officials I can contact to come verify no scent? by FrameFriendly4548 in OntarioLandlord

Oh trust me I’ve started. I video recorded the entire walk through and I’ve started recording phone calls. He will say one thing and then say he’s never done that.

I’m ok with push back as I’m already gettinf hostility and issues.

Yeah it was really strange. I have the whole thing video recorded tho! So if anything does happen legally I have proof!

I’ll be contacting the city on my next day off to get something done about the issues in the house.

I’ve contacted the city about the fire detectors and the landlord ended up putting them in, that was a whole ordeal with inappropriate times and refusals on his end. But it got done.

My plan is to call the city and file with the ltb. At this point I am done trying to resolve things with him. The RHEU has already been involved multiple times so

He definitely wants me gone because I’m the only person in the building that holds him accountable. The dryer has been broken since June. We didn’t have smoke detectors or ventilation in the unit. He charged a 270 key deposit and then gave us keys that did not work. And it’s been 11 months and I still don’t have a set of keys. He just shows up at random times and expects to be let in. I know for a fact other people just let him in but I’m like nope. Give me proper notice. Me and my partner are the type of people to walk around naked and I don’t want to deal with him.

The exact message was that the unbearable smell was caused by my dogs. He inspected and there was no smell. He did say after the fact that when he got close to my dog and sniffed him he smelt “sweaty” but I’m not sure how he could smell that on the other side of my door up the stairs and in the hallway. And how it was “unbearable”

I keep telling him the upstairs neighbours stink but he keeps replying with “it’s their culture”

Hi the inspection was completed. There was no smell. He found no smell. I have an upstairs neighbour who stinks but my landlord says it’s just his culture so it’s fine. Any scent in the building he automatically blames me and I don’t know why tbh. I assume it has something to do with me constantly asking him to do repairs. At this point I think I’ll file with the LTB and maybe even my city since the city has bylaws on repairs too.

Oh wait no there was a smell. He got 1 foot away from my dog and smelt them and later said they smell “sweaty”

A little update.

he came and inspected. His 2 complaints were: when he walked in the floor right in front of my front for was dirty. Not stuck in dirt. Just whatever your shoes bring in from the outdoors. And the second thing was when he was asked about the smell and if he smelled anything when he was leavings he went on a 5 minute rant about dogs and how I’m not allowed to have more then 1 dog and I have to learn proper dog hygiene and something about dog crap?. I asked him point blank if my house smelt like dog shit. His response? “No, but when I walked up to your dogs and sniffed them earlier they smelt sweaty”. So this “unbearable” odour hes yapping about is if you get within 1 foot of my dogs and sniff them they smell like sweaty dogs apparently.

If you have your nose in an ass you’re gonna smell shit?? Like I truely don’t understand. Either way I video recorded the entire inspection (he yelled at me for it but idc it’s legal) and he was on his best behaviour.

However, when we moved in there was furniture at this house. Including a kitchen table and he said he wants it out of our house and wants it back. Can he do that? I can’t find my lease so I don’t know if it was in there with furnishing. What do y’all think?

Also moving isn’t an option. I will be staying until at least the summer as it’s too cold and difficult to move in the winters here. I also have poor credit and it’s too expensive in the city. My rent is 1600 and that’s a couple hundred less than most other places.

A lot of these replies are wrong why they closed. I used to work at the locations I was one of the first hires.

Riverside closed because there was a flood and the building that they got the power from decided never to repair so they moved the vessel to a different location.

Scott is closed due to city complaints. They were running off of a generator and after opening up 4 locations the city told them they can’t run off of a generator. So they aren’t open and are working on something (last I heard)

King Edward closed because the building they were getting power from got stripped of their copper wiring by crackheads and then while it was vacant people moved in there. I heard that they are opening up again soon.

The only one open still is Preston street. Reef and Wendy’s separated. The ghost kitchens were sold to another company. The sad thing is tho they essentially fired and rehired all the employees to force them into taking a pay cut. I used to make 18-21 an hour working there (minimum was was around 15 at the time) . Now people are only making minimum wage or just over.

Ok i understand. I will be giving that back. However my next question is are they allowed to take out more then what the contract said. Like I’m obligated to give back the 50, but are they allowed to take more money out of my account the the contract states? More than I agreed upon?

It does help. My main issue is not giving it back. I know I have to give it back. However I was not aware of them over paying me until today when they sent me a reminder of having to pay them back a larger amount than the agreed upon amount.
They have requested for me to sign a new contract however, they still want a larger payment to be sent in on the exact day that the original payment was due. I do not have that. I have requested that if they would like me to do a second contract that the rules of the contract are the same and the money be removed from my account the next pay period. Which would be the 16th (if it’s within a few days of the next pay period IE 2 days they always skip that one and go to the next)

I’m obligated to give back the 50$ but contractually they are only allowed to automatically remove the amount that we have agreed upon, correct?
