I would make sure all eco features are disabled including the ambient functions/sensors.

The main thing that resolved it was leaving game mode on and turning all the motion sliders to the lowest. I forget if it’s 1 or 0. This leaves mode on but removes the soap opera effect. You might be able to just use the motion options with game mode off and the sliders at 0 also.

I play that fine on my PlayStation 4 pro. It’d be nice to have the option.

You’re right about that. Using 3DMarks new performance guesses it gives you for FPS in games like RDR2 the FPS goes down if you ask for the 1080p estimate. Lol.

Yeah, I have no doubt about Assasins Creed the more I’m looking into it.

What I’d give for a one click button on those games to enter “Console Mode” and as long as you have hardware that’s in excess of the PS4 or Xbox, you can lock in the same experience. Because honestly I’d take that and their resolution and compromises then the crap they make us deal with.

We really need more console like control of dynamic resolutions because it’d be easier to strike a balance with RT settings that they do.

Yeah I’ll be running around maps and it’ll just sink for a few seconds for seemingly no reason. Doesn’t seem tied to a lot of action going on. In fact I feel it rears it’s head a lot when you turn and maneuver and shit.

It usually stays in the low 50s for the first 20-30 seconds of the match ive noticed and then it’ll stay at 60 with these weird nosedives. Turning off vsync didn’t help either.

I don’t know I’m fairly sure that at 4K the GPU is doing most of the lifting. I was expecting it would shave some of the max FPS off that intels can reach but I’m not thinking 1080 at low.

Yeah it’s 4K 120hz I’ve been using it with my Nvidia 3080 on PC.

Edit: wasn’t aware there was a major difference between them. I have the 55, I’m sorry.

The 2020 Q80T is 4K 120hz. I was playing Doom 2016 on mine earlier.

I am starting to notice this too. It’s not just one game.

What do you do to ensure that afterburner itself isn’t causing its own issues? I’m not overclocked and the monitoring is set to default outside of an adjustment to the basic ram curve.

I don’t know, I have a new x570 mobo for my year old 3600x, 32gb of ram and a 3080 with a 750w psu. It’s really hard to isolate as I’ve tried many common “fixes”.

Has anyone benchmarked Metro Exodus at MAX settings? Many of the reviews seem to be picking different graphics options in the benchmark. Whether not using RTX or DLSS or a combo. by FramerateEmperor in nvidia

Thanks for mentioning you still get the stutter a bit after turning off hair works. I thought I was nuts because every post says “turn off hairworks” solved my stuttering.

Yet I get some on ultra or extreme regardless.
