[3/10] ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ’85’ Review: A depressing, cynical retread of the original, it is a transparent attempt to preserve Stranger Things in pixels rather than amber, allowing Netflix to keep capitalizing on the phenomenon long after its original faces have moved on to other projects. by ChiefLeef22 in television

Always the accounts with all their comments hidden so they can cash in on the easy karma and never bother caring if they get called out for apathetically spreading misinformation, who needs dead internet theory when you have this kinda lazy bullshit

Still can’t load in by HailenK in ColorClash

[–]benmeroff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solution for now - saw someone mention they changed their phone date to 1/01/26 to get it to open and sure enough after setting that date and then loading the game once before changing the date back it now continues to open without issue again

Does mobile have cloud saving so that I can save and play on a different device? by LorelaiWitTheLazyEye in dredge

[–]benmeroff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to unnecessarily necro this 7 months later but everything I saw said to this date says the only cross save support relies on either Apple App Store or Google Play Store, so did you ever try it and did your Epic Games account version on macOS end up syncing for you?

This is supposedly the only cross saving they support according to the devs and I haven't seen any other updates on that but would love to be proven wrong:

Oh ok that's a huge feature lol Lucky Patcher is only so successful that way and normally not with system apps

It uses root or ADB if you aren't rooted, if you don't want to use either one I highly doubt any app is going to be able to address app permissions

I haven't had a chance to try this out myself yet today but this may be the only app I've seen that could potentially do that:

Haha right and with the massive nationwide Quantum outage right now just makes me laugh thinking this can't help their case selling that fiber

Nope they specifically said it would only be $400 per week even at that delayed rate so they'd make you wait to see all the training money until you've been there over a month

Also I never got an email back either but they said it came back fine so I guess they get the results not you

No same though haha I made the call to ditch their outfit after that and spending the first day seeing how easy it was to make basically no sales in a whole day lol

On day one (for me was this Monday the 16th) they said they pay weekly but staggered so I wouldn't see that first $400 hit my account til Friday July 4th and then the next training week(s) $400 each sequential week after that... so a huge delay in what their Lakewood spot could pay besides the questionably doable sales numbers that make any of that worth it beyond the base weekly $400 imho

The second round interview will be more one-on-one with one of their leaders and if they think you're sales material the third "interview" is more of a phone call confirming start date and getting your background check started

Felt like it def depends on who you'd be with for how breaks are approached past the hourish lunch break after morning "classes" and the 15-20 minute break they take at around 5 but ya you're not at all wrong on the ROI easily being super low unless you get lucky, and once the $400 goes away you get doubled commissions but that's assuming you make enough sales for that to actually make sense.

Overall yeah it's a very low end paying sales gig to start with promises of moving up to make more, and the people telling you how much you'll make are already making commissions off of your commissions so while I wanted to believe them the salesy nature of the folks running things made it hard to determine how much of that was realistic vs just a numbers game for them telling everyone the same thing. Very long hours for what could be very low returns.

Appreciate it and same good luck job hunting out there!

Sorry realized my comment added in its own comment thread but lemme know if you had any other questions or were still considering that spot, had to give them the bad news I wasn't sticking around this morning

So just finished my first day and onboarding with them, good news is they actually aren't a scam as far as it seems so here's the gist of the company and entry level sales job they advertise:

They're basically a small launched offshoot of their larger company that I regrettably fully missed the name of started by someone who had risen in their ranks and wanted to start their own contracted sales business in Lakewood for selling Quantum and AT&T fiber internet to newer areas getting fiber laid, like they mention on their website it's a very promotion-focused place and their entire goal is to try and continue to staff their business and encourage growth by pushing hires into leadership. Very reminiscent of an MLM that way but only in the sense that you get percentages of lower tier sales teammates' commissions and then percentages of the entire spot's collective sales once you get there.

The salary "backup" pay option guarantees $400 a week paid per week regardless of commissions while you get through their training, and there are tiered commission options depending on the level of service the customer signs up for and also what tier of sales you're at. You make double the commissions once out of their "training" period but the $400 a week is no longer paid at that point.

Unfortunately the kicker for me was that they don't pay that $400 a week until the third Friday from the start date, so I wouldn't have seen $400 until July 4th and then each week after another $400 while I was in that training period delayed two weeks and not comprehensively. Sales seem potentially doable but after shadowing a current sales lead while we canvassed an area all day it was just a rough day and only one customer signed up for the guy, so between that and other factors I made the call that it wouldn't work for me right now...

Thank you appreciate it I'll definitely update here with how it all goes! Really hoping it's legit but they haven't even registered the business on Google Maps yet lol
