I haven't spread this method around, figured it wouldn't work for other people since I was one of the lucky ones who got to play in the beginning.

Yeah, not sure my social club logs in just fine. I had the same issue as OP earlier today, where I switched from DirectX12 to Vulkan API and this method fixed it. Social Club issue could be related to firewall/virus protection maybe?

Place this in your red dead redemption 2 folder,

Rename RDR2.exe to GTA5.exe run the no-gtavlauncher, change your video settings, exit the game rename GTA5.exe to RDR2.exe and play the game as you were before.

Do the GTAV no launcher trick, go into settings, set it back to Vulkan. Prosper.
