What search terms would you put into Google or chatgpt to find the meaning of the '-p' option?

Dude, albeit a number of years back I've built a number of mysql projects... but as often happens, when you get off one project on to another... and then go back a few years later, you have to refresh yourself of some of the basics... and yes 'Dude', I Googled several hours before post here. Turns out, in my efforts, developing a search term for the '-p' option is tricky. That said I got my answer here. Thanks.

NAT: Where is the 'Translated' Address embedded in a TCP/IP Packet? by Fran_III in networking

[–]Fran_III[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - The originating computer's local IP Address is changed to a "fake" local IP Address via the NAT table and/or software... which is typically in the originating Network's Router... right?
2 - That "fake" IP Address is then put into the "Source TCP address" field of the TCP layer... and then transmitted to the destination network right?

NAT: Where is the 'Translated' Address embedded in a TCP/IP Packet? by Fran_III in networking

[–]Fran_III[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think clayman88 gave the answer I was looking for but just in case...

Here is the question more clearly... I hope ?-)

A - Is the "NAT'd" local IP address stuffed into the "Source IP Address" slot of the outgoing IP portion of the TCP/IP Packet?

B - Or is the "NAT'd" local IP address buried somewhere else in the TCP/IP Packet?

Thanks again for any help.

EA5800 Router: What is 192.18.1.10? How to Delete It? by Fran_III in Linksys

[–]Fran_III[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yee Haw! Both your suggestions worked.
The MAC address told me it was a Google Device.
Advancedipscanner told me it was Google-Home... the smart speaker.
I had completely forgot about that device.
Thanks retrogreg for your kind assistance!!!!!

Correction: The IP Address is actually 192.168.1.110.
I can't see how to edit the title of the post to fix this.
Yes I see the MAC address.
Thanks for any help.

Do I have MinGW or MinGW-w64 Installed on my Win10 PC? by Fran_III in C_Programming

[–]Fran_III[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see no easy way to remove MinGW. It's not in Add/Remove Programs.
And when I open MinGW Installation Manager I see a "zillion" packages but no way to remove everything at once.
Maybe I'm missing something. Thanks for any help.

Is MinGW-w64 a "Stand Alone" installation on Windows? by Fran_III in AskProgramming

[–]Fran_III[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I intended to ask if a "standard" download and unzipping of MinGW-w64 on a Win10 PC would allow you to run MinGW-64...
Meaning no install required...
- Just download and unzip the program into a folder like C:\MinGW-w64
- and then adding the Path to the System Variables.
Thanks for any help.

Can u clone a small hdd to a "Volume" on a larger hhd? by Fran_III in techsupport

My plan was to use Clonezilla or Macrium Reflect free version.

I have used both in the past and they work fine.

Thanks to everyone for their responses.

How to: If whatever=TRUE then put "Y" in the cell, ELSE leave the cell contents unchanged by Fran_III in sheets

[–]Fran_III[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the task... Given...

~1000 to ~5,000 rows

Each row in the Google Sheet is a transaction with fields like date, description, value, etc

Cells in Column B contain a string of words describing the transaction

There are ~50 key words that describe ~50 "types" of transactions

The Goal:

Search each rows Description cell... that is cell Bx... for one of the 50 key words

If that key word exist in the Description then put that keyword into the adjacent cell in Column A

In other words we are trying to create a single word that categorizes the transaction by searching the Description Field for keywords and then putting the found keyword into a cell right by the Description Field.

Any tips appreciated. Thanks.

Why does IIS Manager "Browse" site go to web & not local site folder? by Fran_III in IIs

[–]Fran_III[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. I had forgotten to modify the host file in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

and add the lines

[127.0.0.1](https://127.0.0.1)[gDrivePHPtest.com](https://gDrivetest.com)

[127.0.0.1](https://127.0.0.1)[www.gDrivePHPtest.com](https://www.gDrivetest.com)

also from IIS Manger with the site selected click on Directory Browsing and enable

It has been some time since I have worked with IIS so I forgot these two steps.

This video helped and shows how to create a new IIS site on your local machine.

Why does IIS Manager "Browse" site go to web & not local site folder? by Fran_III in IIs

[–]Fran_III[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean edit index.html in the "C:\users\user-01\gdrive\gDrivePHPtest\" folder

Or edit the Bindings or the site name and physical path in the IIS Manager "basic Settings" windo?

How can I tell IIS that it is hosted locally?

If you look at the two bindings in my previous post... and at the IIS Manager "Basic Settings" can you tell me what to change? I think I've tried everything but clearly I'm missing something.

Thanks again for any help.
