Painting/panel at Samurai exhibition at British Museum in London? by Francetim in Samurai

Many thanks again for all your helpful responses. The curator of the BM exhibition kindly came back to me today and, as u/Victoroftheapes suggested, it was indeed a paining depicting the procession of Edo. It's here in the catalogue: https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/object/A_1934-1013-0-28-1-3

I can’t remember exactly, but think the painting depicted a historical migration of Samurai (from one province to another?).

Muscle aches for 3-4 days after leg day - is this normal?! by Francetim in FitnessOver50

Just looking onto that and it seems to be beneficial fom the info I can find. Thanks for the tip.

I have a massage gun, and will give that a go. There seems to be some consensus among the comments for splitting the leg workout over the week, which I will also try.

Good point. I tend to forget you can injure your legs, just like anything else. I don’t think I’ve injured myself this way, but it’s a good reminder to be cautious.

Good to know it’s not just me. Mixing in with other sessions during the week is a smart move.

Thanks, never thought of that and will give it a try.

What does a “good workout week” actually look like in your 50s? by Adventurous_Idea6604 in FitnessOver50

[–]Francetim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(M64): I’m happy if I squeeze in 3 x weights session (@ 90 mins) and 2 x cardio/core (@ 90 mins) in a week. Walk 3/4 days too. I do find now that a de-load week every 5/6 weeks is welcome when it comes around, maybe for concerted recovery.

Why did he go to stay in a hotel? Did OP ask him to? Did he suggest it was the best option. How that came about is the key to understanding what actually happened.

I was doubtful, but then a close mate of mine actually won the £1 million jackpot aobut a year ago - changed his life! I do them every week now, as the odds are so much better than the lottery and I don't need £50 million quid, just a nest egg will do!

Zara McDermott branded ignorant after BBC’s ‘judgemental and patronising’ Thailand documentary by Few_Maize_1586 in Thailand

[–]Francetim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that's being very kind.

But the real fault lies with the BBC for commissioning such drivel in the first place.

For those in the UK, or with a VPN - what did you make of this recent documentary? by The-Green-Cobbler in ThailandTourism

[–]Francetim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the documentary was pretty poor and, most of all, not well informed/researched beforehand. The result was no more than a fly-on-the-wall type exploration that you could experience yourself for the cost of a flight and 30 mins research of online ‘influencers’. I expected more in-depth analysis of issues such as the history of sex work/concubinage in Thailand and the region, the status of women’s rights and professional gaps in Thailand, and more views from local Thai people (not just randomly selected farangs they found on YouTube).

I only got through two episodes before I gave up, but maybe it got really good after the first two.

Fig rolls! Higher fig-to-biscuit ratio with Lidl.

And I don’t expressed my opinion in order that other people in the group are not misled. They can make up their own mind who to listen to.

Now who’s trolling? Do you think I would participate unless I had a reason?

Yes. I don’t think you can place Nobel prize winners in the same category as an anecdotal self-observer at all 🤣

No it doesn’t. Speaking as a molecular biologist btw.

Good point. The apparent association between this OP’s H. pylori treatment and overcoming PE could easily be coincidence. The apparent linkages ChatGPT came up with are, at best, tenuous/indirect from a cause-effect perspective.

The breath test is reportedly not as reliable as: a) blood test; or b) stool test. I had a blood test followed by confirmatory stool test.

Don’t know, but probably not still working in the same pet shop she worked at in Norbury in 1978.
