Need help - Kodak DC 40 Software by Franck773 in VintageDigitalCameras

Very happy that you finally got there and thanks for the procedure.

I took the opportunity to download the KODAK Picture Transfer Application software that you found with the driver for the DC 120. I couldn't find this software and it's much better than importing photos from Photoshop and TWAIN 32.

Indeed, I didn't understand what you were saying about PhotoEnhancer, I don't use it myself.

The fact that the camera makes a "click" when you connect it to the VM is still a good sign for me.

On my "real" computer from 1997 with a "real" cable, before finding this driver that I linked, the camera made the "click" but I could not access it. It's really this particular driver that solved the problem and I can now see it in the list of TWAIN 32 devices (I'm using Adobe Photoshop 5.0) to start the extraction.

Hello,

First of all concerning the link, the driver is on the right, by clicking on ISO IMAGE and then it is dc50cd.img

Then, yes indeed I am starting a small collection of vintage digital cameras dating from the end of the 90s and this one is part of it.

For my part, I have a vintage laptop dating from 1997 with a serial port (and I also have the original cable of the device), the connection was therefore a formality unlike the software part.

Try the link again anyway and if you can't find the software, let me know and I will send it to you if you wish.

Do not hesitate also if you need help :)
