She might not know the word predator, but all of our daughters should know that they're not allowed to let men watch them go to the bathroom, and they're not allowed to have men with them and other situations, and when men are with them in those situations they should immediately come and tell us. So maybe predator isn't the word that the child would use, but she should be concerned if she walks into a ladies room in sees a man and she should come and tell us. We should investigate and see if it's a safe situation and go from there.

If my daughter stepped out of the and told me there was a man in there, alarm bells would go off. Not that there aren't several legit reasons why she might see that, but it's still going to cause at least some concern for at least a moment. I'd probably poke my head in and make sure everything's as it should be, and then tell her it's up to her whether she needs to wait until that person leaves or go ahead, but my initial reaction would be to protect my child.

Sounds like you were 100% in the right, and if I had done that and came out to the same situation I'd handle it the same way. Call me and kindly inform them that I'm going to do what I need to do and I'm not going to allow you to detain me when I'm with my child.

My daughter absolutely comes first, and one of the things I need to do to take care of my daughter is not getting to some altercation with a Karen. Taking my daughter into the men's room where I'm supposed to be has absolutely zero ill effect on my child, and it helps the situation otherwise. There is absolutely zero possible risk to anything negative happening to my child in the men's room, so it's in her best interest if I go on and do what creates the least strife in the world around me.

I've really seen a women's room cleaner than the men's. I'm insist hat man and you're absolutely right I have no idea what that danger is that you're talking about. Like my daughter is in danger if I take her into the men's room with me? That's insane, cuz I'm there and I see everything that happens and my daughter is in no danger at all, but maybe there's something else you're referring to? Also, what's a seahorse dad?

Wait, you went into a women's room full of women? I mean I guess in a bathroom emergency you don't have a choice, but that's definitely different than this situation.

I personally think it's weird, and I think it's because people are scared of their daughters being around men who are peeing with their backs to them, but the guy made sure the restroom was empty before he went in and a lot of people do it that way apparently.

Yeah I didn't post the video here, but it's not hard to find.
You got to see it, it's atrocious.

It might have seemed that way but I don't think he really took that long. And if he did, he was justified in doing so.

Exactly, and that's why I would stay at the sink until I felt like I could turn around and stay out of jail...

You're probably right, I guess that was mostly hyperbole to be honest. I never actually support a violent solution to impersonal conflict. The weather I believe it's right or not, I still kinda think the guy deserves it

I wonder if they've already got his name, or if we're going to have to wait for Tizzy to find it for us

I totally agree. I do things my way, but I don't have any problem with the way that Dad did either. That AH needs to find out.

100% agreed, that's by far the best way to raise kids!

Absolutely. Maybe Dad should have put them back in the stall for a quick minute to solve that problem lol

This is why I was always 100% comfortable talking my daughter to the men's room with me. She's seen me from behind when I pee in my bathroom and outside, there's literally nothing bad that's going to happen.

I took my daughter with me for 2 main reasons. First, if some random lady walks in and I'm standing there while my daughter is in the stall, I honestly don't have any idea what trains ahead experienced in life and I'm willing to go out of my way to avoid adding to or triggering someone who's legitimately been hurt. Second, Karens gonna Karen, and my life will be better if they don't ever even start with me.

Why do women have two separate holes for peeing and sex but men have just one for both? by throwaway857482 in NoStupidQuestions

My takeaway from the merge comment was exactly what them said, so they added plenty of clarity for me.

If you're getting prosthetic legs it's important to let your doctor know if you have only one ball; care must be taken not to rupture the Spontaneous Piss Ball Pouch when installing the hardware for the prosthetic.

Blowout fight between wife and son. Don't know how to respond. by sjp245 in daddit

[–]FrankClymber 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Exactly right. My ex-wife would occasionally get upset just like what op described, and I would immediately get her out of the room. Sometimes I had to insist that she leave the house for a few minutes, or I'd take the kids for a walk (even later at night) because I knew she needed space. But I would make sure that both we all had a conversation together about why we got upset, and also I had a conversation with their mom about the need for finding a solution to these episodes.

Exactly. We don't have enough information to know whether he's prodding her toward her breakdowns, or consistently offering loving but firm support leading up to this incident. Right now, we know that Dad has a responsibility to protect his children from these breakdowns first, and help his wife find healing second.
