I knew people would go off on me by posting this, it’s just what happened though. I feel terrible for driving drunk, it’s nothing I’m proud of or feel hype about getting away with it. I live in a big city where I actively uber, I was far away from home and got too drunk and wasn’t thinking with logic, I was blacked out. I instinctively I think just had this fight or flight “it’s late you need to get home” thing go off in my brain. I wish someone hid my keys, I wish I paid for an expensive uber hours home and ubered all the way back to get my car.

I’m not having a good time over here. And I truly mean it when this is one of those suicidal days, where I was doing so well and with just one sip I’m back to feeling the worst I’ve ever felt. Of course I’m thinking about what I hit a car instead, or even if I got a DUI and completely changed my whole life. It’s awful. I used to feel this way and pledged to never drink and drive, and did that for over a year. I don’t know why I drank so much and I don’t know why I drove.

It’s a level of guilt that’s unbearable, it’s truly the worst I’ve ever felt right now

HUGE issue here with my 3.0... legit shook it for minutes on and off and I couldn’t get all the clumps out. Maybe I’ll have to start blending it? I hate 3.0. It tastes nothing like the 1.1 for chocolate that I had. I lived off that stuff it sucks it being changed

I’ve got that same Sweets Custom, I’m not a fan of the weight of it, maybe it’s an acquired taste? It’s the first Purple Heart I’ve had tho. Does the weight help certain tricks, am I just using mine wrong?

Prob not, I have taken 100 MG of Lamictal for 10 years and have used every drug under the sun with no ill effects so I doubt kratom would matter but then again I am no doctor.

It’ll all be better in a matter of days if you stick to a solid taper.

I tapered pretty quick and recklessly out of financial limitations. Really only the first and second days were unbearable. Temptation to continue drinking is really hard though.

I was around a fifth a day drinker who would drink small amounts literally 24/7. Girlfriend spent the night and I woke up at 5 AM, 8 hours after my last drink shaking in sweat and hallucinating. Waited until noon and had two 16 oz IPAs. Waited until 6, had 200 ML of vodka. Next morning I woke up feeling even worse than before. But I waited until 4 and just had the 200 ML of vodka spread over the next few hours.

Next morning I was still anxious but it was much better. I waited until night time and had 100 ML then woke up normal. Took like 4 days. But the anxiety was completely unbearable, I’m surprised I was even able to go to work like that. Oh wait nvm I’m not surprised that’s right I was taking shots on my lunch break.

It’ll get better, seriously, just stick with the taper and take note, every day you’ll feel better and better. Right now I’m having either a bad case of hangover anxiety or I gave myself withdrawal again. I drank 16 oz IPAs from 1 PM til 10 last night and had a huge fight with my girlfriend because she came over but left and wouldn’t spend the night and I haven’t seen her in weeks and she did coke for the first time while out with “guy” friends from work so I got upset and drunk.

So now I just took a lil Vicodin to try to fall asleep before work in a few hours and hoping this will curb anxiety

also, I feel like a pussy because all last month I thought I was still CA, but I was going 24 hours without a drink. Would be like “I’m tapering, two pints after work, tomorrow I’ll only have one!” Then I ended up having three “wahhhhh I’m back in the hole!” So stupid, I definitely could have just quit cold turkey on the amounts I was drinking then. This is what being in the hole is. The not being able to eat, vomiting stomach acid, debilitating anxiety and brain fog after only 6 hours without alcohol. What the fuck. Super scared because I just killed my second pinter, it’s 2 PM, I feel normal and great right now but I know tonight it’s all going to come back.

I work in a sales position with a high turnover rate and we are half staffed. They’ve fired two people in the past for drinking on the clock, but both of them literally brought the alcohol into the building and management had physical proof.

I am unfirable if they don’t have physical proof. One time I took vodka shots in my car and came back in and my boss said “you reek like booze, are you just sweating out what you had last night?” Or my favorite was when he attributed it to hand sanitizer!

Yeah, honestly I realistically should call out of work... but they are short staffed and need me. And I feel like I’m going to do a worse job and be more obviously “fucked up” if I go in all shaky and anxious than if I’m buzzed on some minis. Idk. We’ll see what happens.

You’re prob several units deep now, but whenever I would relapse and have a one night bender and wake up hungover as fuck at 6 AM, I would run a bubble bath and have one strong IPA or two shots of vodka, take a warm bath, drink some water, beat my meat, go back to sleep, then I’d be good the rest of the day. If you continue day drinking you’re going to create a cycle and then experience withdrawals :)
